    This generation of kids...

I plan on majoring in History, too. I love it. I write almost EVERYTHING in cursive. I'm an addict about it. Haha

I find it extraordinary how much smaller generation gaps are becoming. I'm only seventeen and I remember seeing digital cameras and thinking they were the most amazing thing. Now, younger kids don't know life without them.

They actually had a show somewhat like that. Called 'The 1940s House.' It's fantastic, and you can find it on Youtube, last time I checked.

I actually agree with you. In an earlier post I put I would go back to live then no matter what. But that isn't the truth. I honestly do like living in the modern world, but I wish we could have the good from then and mix it with the good we possess today (As a lot of us wish). I do not think...

    Reincarnation

I agree that everyone is born when they're born for a purpose. I like living in this century, but I think the reason why I'm attracted to certain periods is simply because I was there. How boring it would be to only live once...

Time only exists on a physical plane though. You may spend what feels like two centuries in Heaven or in wherever you believe, but come back ten minutes later in Earth time.

Exactly! And many people don't seem to get that. I would give up A/C, internet, cell phones, television and it wouldn't bother me. It's truly an attachment. Like a person's child. They can be the meanest person in the world, but you wouldn't give them up for anything!

The problem is even though I feel bad for people, nothing really "shocks" or "disturbs" me.

I've always been 'stuck in the past.' Through the Victorian era up until the late fifties, early sixties. As a child, if I saw or heard something from those periods I immediately perked up. Still do, of course.

Ah, too bad. It's one of my favorite topics to discuss, but I know very few people who seem to be open to it.

I took the empathy quiz listed on the site and got a 48/70. I can see where the media comes in. When you have the ability to see someone get blown up at two years old, it toughens you up. It's almost as bad as being there in person.

Well, all to their own, I suppose.

Does anyone in the Lounge ever think about it. It is really very interesting. I've always thought that the reason why some are attracted to certain eras is because they are heavily attached to one of their past lives. For example, maybe you dress vintage and have such an attraction to the Golden...

Just moved to Kenosha, WI ~ What's to do?

Wow! I live in Kenosha... yeah, there is absolutely nothing to do here. Sorry. Downtown is starting to look a bit nicer, but it's not very nice in some parts. The beach is wonderful in the summertime. You can ride the trolleys. Visit the museums. Go to Common Grounds cafe, it's very nice there...

Your personality traits~ best and worst

Best: I'm fairly intuitive and nice. I feel every single person has good in them. People tell me I'm funny, but I don't know about all that.... Worst: I talk, think, and dream too much. I'm loud, and if you make me angry I get so upset that I'll bite back twice as hard!

If you had a chance to travel through a TIME MACHINE for a WEEK? where would you go?

Honestly, I would probably go back in time to sail on one of the grand ocean liners. Most likely my favorite ship, the S.S. Leviathan (former Vaterland of the German HAPAG Line). Or maybe the Aquitania, or Olympic. Possibley the Queen Mary, though I'm much more fond of the profound elegance of...
