    What's your favorite candy?

Ah, so that's how it works! lol Trader Joe's also has a dark chocolate bar with an almond butter-like filling that is divine. Yes! I can't believe I forgot to mention Kindereggs. Forget those silly paper "toys" Cracker Jacks gives out now days, it's all about the Kinderegg prizes! I...

(Guys) What's in your wallet...I mean pockets

I am continually impressed by how much guys can carry in their pockets! Women's pockets are generally so small that sometimes I have trouble cramming anything more than a chapstick in one. I was amazed when at work the other day a guy pulled a paperback out of his pocket that must have been...

    What's your favorite Breakfast Cereal...

I love Quaker Oatmeal squares (any of the flavors will do)! Cinnamon toast crunch, Lucky Charms, and Cheerios are good too. Original and honey nut Cheerios are the best, although I recently tried the fruity ones and they're pretty good too - like a less sugary version of Froot Loops. When I...

    What's your favorite candy?

My old dentist use to always have cookies in the waiting room. I always found it funny for a dentist to be offering up sugar! As far as candy goes it's probably better to say what I don't like rather than what I do like. :) I'll eat just about any candy, although at the moment I've been...

    Colours for brunettes!! ;-)

I'm a brunette, but yellow is one color I have trouble wearing - maybe I'm just trying on the wrong shades of yellow? I tend to have the most luck with browns.

    Rundown of 30's & 40's Shoes

Which pairs did you end up ordering? When you get them it would be great if you'd post a bit on what they're like. I've been keeping my eye out for them in department stores but I haven't had any luck yet. I have a few pairs of heels that it wouldn't hurt to add the Dr. Scholls inserts...

    Rundown of 30's & 40's Shoes

Oh, those are so cute!! Has anyone ever bought any shoes from the brand vintage laundry? I really like the pair called jive, but I haven't decided whether or not to buy it yet.

    Great Voices

Definitely Bogie and Bacall! I also think Rosalind Russell, but maybe it's more the manner she said things than her actual voice.

    Toiletries of the Golden Era

Ulta does too, that's where I bought mine.

    What do you look like?

I don't have any recent pictures - this is from a few months ago: Me in a fun hat when I was little: Ahhh - all my other pictures turn out huge when I post them. :(

    Bargins and favorite pieces!

    What was your first job?

I did some babysitting and worked at a daycare, but my first actual paycheck job was when I worked full time during the summer as a receptionist at a doctor's office when I was 15. I answered phones, kept up the schedule and files, did data entry and handled money. I still have trouble...

    Boxing

This is supposedly a picture of my great grandpa William Howard Furnier. Not the best of pictures as it's a scan of a negative of a picture of a picture, but it's the only one I have of him in boxing mode. He boxed in Cincinnati and I've heard that he was known as Kid Howard. I found a...

Hollywood Stars and their Dogs (PICTORIAL)

Fun photos! My favorite is the one of Powell, Loy, and Asta looking into the fridge.

A teeny thing 'counter-vintage' about you?

I feel the same way! (And you've got excellent taste in music: Weezer, Snow Patrol, Green Day, the Shins, etc.) I'm waiting to get through with school and moving around before I start buying things outside of paper stuff (small, they travel well for the most part and also tend to fit my...

Which book/movie affected you the most?

I haven't read the book yet, but the Fanny Price of the movie version is one of my heroines! (She comes after Cassandra Mortmain of "I Capture the Castle" and June Forsyte of "The Forsyte Saga" though so I didn't put "Mansfield Park" in my post.) I think I really need to head to the library...

Which book/movie affected you the most?

Me too! No matter how much I write and read I always tend to mix those two up. There aren't any movies or books that have really changed me in a drastic way, although there are a few that have led me to look at life in a different way or encouraged me to be a stronger person. These include "I...

Life Magazine Cover of the Queen Mary

Very lovely image! Life magazines are one of my favorite ways of peeking into the past. :)

    William Powell comedies

Of the ones I've seen The Thin Man is definitely my favorite of Powell's movies. My Man Godfrey is a great film, but I think Powell and Loy make a better team than Powell and Lombard.

    You Scream for Ice Cream?

That sounds like fun ice cream! The most interesting ice cream I've ever had was cake ice cream made by Schwann's. If I remember right it's cake batter flavored ice cream flecked with multicolored sprinkles with a blue frosting swirl.
