Is it wrong for me to think that those of you who did sentence diagramming in school are older than I am?
That's what we used.
Well in all fairness, English isn't very logical either. There are a lot of letters in the English language that are also not pronounced, and there are groups...
I went to private school almost my entire life and I had a lot of instruction in grammar, especially during my junior high school years. However, I never had to diagram a sentence until I took Linguistics in college.
That said, I learned more about the nitty gritty of grammar by taking...
All I know is that this guy must be spamming every CL site in the country. His stuff is plastered all over Craigslist here too. It drives me nuts - we shop Craigslist to buy local and not pay shipping.

Poor spelling drives me CRAZY. I've been doing lots of digging on CL lately, and while these aren't really spelling errors per se, this still bugs the hell out of me.
Draws (they're DRAWERS, silly!)
Rod Iron (really?)

Also don't forget that ladies didn't always wear dresses! Twin sets were popular, as were skirts with blouses and cardis or skirts with stylish sweaters.
I like all these ideas. A pencil skirt was my first though, a slightly A-line skirt my second thought, and a pair of wide-legged trousers my third. Capris would also look good with it, but it's not really the right season for those.
Choosing brown makes for a great color combo!
Thank you. Navy or grey are supposedly the best bets. I'm certainly not keen on wearing black and white, but I'm not sure I have too many other options.
Does anyone have any information on how to spot bed bugs that may be hitching into your home in larger items of furniture? I'm looking at purchasing a vintage bureau and would like to make sure first that there aren't any hiding out in cracks or joints in the wood.
Also, how would one go...
I have a job interview next week for the IT department at a local college and am agonizing over what to wear because I don't have much! I have a suit that was purchased for me a long time ago. Besides probably not fitting me anymore, it's also kind of dated.
I don't have any vintage suits...
Jim Beam and soda, boring, I know. Liquor's on the top shelf and I was too lazy to grab the step stool to get the rye on the back of the shelf. Also, this whole endeavor involved cracking ice out of the old metal trays, which usually results in cubes all over the floor. I was losing patience! lol
I love the idea of hair pieces, but have never gotten one since my hair never stays the same color long enough! I've never gotten a wig because ones that look and feel nice to are expensive for me to justify the cost.
For those of you looking for hair pieces and concerned about color matching...
Well, the Mad Men series started in 1960 and remember that the styles in the early part of a decade are just a continuation of the previous years. Styles in 1962 were changing, but they weren't too too different from those of 1959. Now that we're into the mid-60s in the series, we're definitely...
Just found out they discontinued my favorite fragrance, Ellen Tracy. Does anyone know how long a perfume will remain intact if it's in a spray bottle and not open to the air?
A tip for getting the right amount and not wasting perfume. Spray your perfume onto a Qtip and use that to dab where you need it. It's much easier to not overdo it that way, and also easier to not waste a lot of an expensive perfume.
Yes! A few too many ladies wearing too much perfume in the elevator with me and I stopped wearing it. I only wear it now if I'm going out for the evening.
When I do wear perfume, I tend to stick to light, powdery fragrances because I like their subtlety (Ellen Tracy, Mariella Burani, Yardley...
