I would suggest catalogs to get a good idea of how outfits were put together from daywear to evening wear incuding shoes and accesories. They give you a broader range of what was available than what we find in vintage/thrift shops. They also give you a guide as to how the clothing should fit...- pennyseranade

Lilred-- I know at both CVS and ULTA, you can return any item if you don't like the color-- even if you used it. I have done that many times when I get to the car and the color looks NOTHING like I thought it would. It has really reduced the size of my hideous lipstick collection.- pennyseranade
