When I do go to the barber I usually lightly damp clean hair and comb it back like the uppermost photos. I'll have him blend up the sides from very short above the ears but not past an imaginary side part. And of course there's a bit of a shelf at the back but none of the hair on top is cut...
I think I need to cool it on the bay watching for a bit, bought four hats in two weeks!! It's far too easy and they all look good, there are far worse things to be addicted to but at some point it starts to look like OCD!!!!!!!
Acclimating to Portland weather?! Is that possible?! That's a really great shade of green, and it even matches the greenery of the background. That's what I miss about OR, all the greenery!
I wondered why you had a difficult time being in the country for the hunting season, busy world traveler!
Custom cabinetry for 12 years with my own shop of 9 men for the last 10 years. Mostly commercial work, medical and bank jobs.

It's the age we live in, too many people shopping at Walmart in their jammies, slippers and ...baseball hats!
I think the green hat goes best with browns and tans, I never feel quite right when I wear my green stetson with grey, and conversly not quite right when I've got my grey stetson with...
Took of few pics of my archery gear, and a shot of me passing down my love of this old passtime, target archery.
Here's my back quiver with a signature, Glenn St Charles. No idea if it was his or an endorsed product line, most likely the latter.

By the end of the workday she starts to fall, Cab Calloway style.
And these will help explain the cut, very long on top and short on the sides. Before the water and Shellac.
Also explains why I wear a hat most of the...
you know...I was thinking about that handling method. I'll bet you any amount that this is exactly how we got the pinched front, top creased fedora that we all know so well. Think about it..the derby and bowler came first but removing a hat by the brim doesn't work so well and so men reached for...
I've been shaving with a DE for a few years now. It was my grandfathers, since then I've picked up a few more as rummage sales and flea markets. Nothing fancy I don't think, one GEM and a few Gilletts. Don't know how I got on without them.
I think all my brown hats have a black ribbon...and come to think if it..I usually wear them with my brown leather jacket! I honestly never made the Indy connection till I heard it mentioned here in the Lounge. Even when I've got my bullwhip on...no one has ever made any comments!!!!
Thanks for the additional chapters of this story! I can feel your anguish come to life through your words.....it's still a very funny read. My children have suggested that you cut some ear holes and give it to the dog!! I believe he has long been envious of your styling good looks while out for...
Ragnar, I loved the link to the Yew longbows! That's exactly what I'm talking about! I've got a few DVD's of Howard and some of the others, as a boy I collected books and gear. I remember some good project articles in old issues of popular machanics too, longbows and recurves. I've collected it...

I suppose my cut is still the style I had in high school, long on top and short on the sides. Back then it bordered on a mohawk though, then I saw the movie The...
