Brim measures 2 inches, the widest I currently own. I'm on the lookout for wider though as I really like the look on the rest of you gents when you post 'em.
I don't suppose you could take a few more pics of this piece and maybe a few measurements? I'd love to make one for myself, it's incredible, a really great find! Is that Walnut?
Hey guys, not a collector or even an enthusiast even but I've got a couple of utilitarian hand-me downs. Gun on top was my grandfathers .300 Savage that I believe is pre 50's. The next was his varmit .22, an O.F. Mossburg. pre 40's I believe. And the bottom gun is a newer .22 Marlin .
And...
I would imagine the the 55lb draw weight would be more than adequate for most large game out to 30 yards. I also have a bad shoulder that gets really aggravated by archery and as such I don't shoot that often anymore. I'll confess too that although I went hunting for years with a bow....sshhh...
Just as I promised, here are a few pics of the 51 International that I just snapped for your viewing pleasure!
Sorry she's buried under all that snow, kinda pretty though!
Every day, all the time and I'll confess...indoors as well. Most people think I'm bald because I've allways got a hat on!! It's actually the opposite, I've got wild unrully hair and it's too much trouble to tame it most days! And then, when I do tame it down with some pomade, I can't wear a...
Finally!! The Stetson I won has arrived, it actually came on thursday so I wore it to work on friday. I'll admit that I wore it all day in the office, just couldn't bring myself to take it off. It fit so nice and I love the shape.
I'd agree with most of this post, looks a little large and low. I'd like to see some pics with the brim down and I think I prefer the heavy framed glasses but without color I can't say for sure. How wide is the brim? It's a good looking hat! I love wearing my porks, I seem to get more attention...
OMG that is sooo funny!!!! I've got tears in my eyes I laughed so hard. I washed a winter stocking hat that my wife had knitted for me and threw it in the dryer. Now it looks a yarmulke (yamaka)!!!!!!!
Thanks Danny! I don't work in a field where the men dress well. It's pretty blue collar in the construction trades with most wearing little better than rags. Most of my business associates look like homeless bums that just crawled out from under the bridge. Here's a good one...I recently tried...
Have you thought of using the Long Bow in your vintage hunting quest? With a back quiver full of wood arrows that you've fletched yourself. Sounds like the makings of a new hobby for you to consider! Think Saxton Pope or Howard Hill!!
No idea why they used my lawn, I really don't know anyone around here. I'm guessing they'd just finished off a case and were heading home for the night!
I guess there isn't much else for the young people to do out here in the sticks! The grass grew back although it was a bumpy ride on the mower...
Hey Matt, thanks for the insite on your resto methods, I took the bandsaw apart a few months ago and stalled on the resto because I wasn't sure what method was best/easiest. This sounds like a good winter project for me. I'll get some pics today, I'm just sittin around surfin the Lounge and my...
The wife and I found a little farm house on 20 acres about 12 years ago and decided that it was the place to raise our children. The kids were 3,4 and 5 then. We spent two months cleaning, fixing, roofing, windows, wiring, plumbing, heating, painting...etc..etc.! My wife wanted to be with the...
I think that most of the people I'm acquainted with would call me "friend" and I them. I guess maybe I'm defining friendship too strongly, I mean, when I think of friends I think "getting together and hanging out" and I don't do that with anyone. I have family, customers, employees, business...
yea! I need a garage too, I hate letting my Plymouth sit out in the driveway. One night last summer a couple of hillbillies in a pickup decided to stop in front of my house(2 am) shift into four wheel drive, and rip into my lawn with a couple burnouts before tearing down the road. They missed my...
