    I am exactly 23" and it was marked 7 3/8" which was correct. Unlike my Chatham, though, it did not have the little extra room to allow for shrinkage. Sure wish I could walk into a hat store and try on a hat before buying. Nearest is St Augustine and they mostly do straws.

    My experience was different. I'm exactly a 7 3/8 and it was exactly on it. I sent it off to Optimo to have the edge bound and had them stretch it a half size so it can shrink back to me. Expect it back in a day or so. The felt was lovely and thick. You could shape it dry by hand with no trouble.
