My lastest Ebay binge
So here is a batch of Ebay buys from the last month or so:
First is a Cavanagh Milan Straw, Coffee color, 6 7/8. Wore this one all day yesterday in the nice weather, liking it a lot!

Next is a Resistol 990, Astro Blue color, 7. This is an interesting color...
Anyone here win this JC Penney Marathon?

I would've kept going on this, but was making dinner and entertaining guests. Anyone here snag it?
Getting ready to go hiking in 30 degree temps! Sorry for the shaky picture(my 6 yr. old doesn't quite have a still hand yet). Just got this Saddleback Leather satchel yesterday...its beautiful! Perfect size. I've had two others(the pouch and the briefcase) that just weren't the right...
I don't think so, Mr. Wood! It seems you already have AT LEAST 1 new hat rolling in just about every day! Besides, I think my dome is a bit smaller than yours: 6 7/8, sometimes a 7.
Wow, some great shots today! Mayser, beautiful hat. Joshbru, Scott Wood very nice. Salty, I love the way you tilt your hats! Welcome, Gro...look forward to seeing some of pics of you and your hats! Thanks to all for the feedback on my Cattleman. It's taken some getting used to the wide...
My brother is a union construction worker, and every year they all receive(from the union) these boots with the crepe sole for work. I think it's safe to say they're plenty manly!
Maybe this subject has been addressed before, but I'm fascinated with the different characteristics of felt from the different manufacturers. Every single one of my hats feels different!
My hats and their characteristics:
Vintage Dobbs 5th Ave.--Thick, soft felt. Pliable but durable...
Another great hat Daizawaguy! The shot of Harajuku brings me back there...I spent a month in Japan years ago, stayed in Tokorozawa, Saitama Prefecture. It seems there's quite a strong Japan contingent here in the Lounge. Very cool! I wonder how long you've been there?
Mario, I am awestruck at every one of your pics. You exude vintage cool and suaveness in every shot. I wonder how you morphed into such a stylish guy over time? Do you dress like that every day all day? You pull it off like no other! Bravo!
Made myself the perfect whiskey sour last night.
2 oz Makers Mark
3/4 oz Grand Marnier
Juice of 1 lemon
3/4 tsp sugar
Stir till sugar dissolves, shake with ice, and ENJOY!!
