Exactly. Frankly i don't like the idea of wearing shorts outside of exercising in the summer or something to that effect. I don't know but around here it seems sandals are becoming way too popular, i don't remember seeing sandals as much even 15 years ago, but it could just be seeing the past...
I've probably posted in this thread before, i always used hair gel (IC hair polish as my go to) and got a sort of Wehrmacht haircut (its the closest to what i find appealing with the short back and sides, longer on top etc) but my problem is my hair is very wavy, even with gel it can be...
WKuK are probably one of the funniest troupes out there IMO, i've seen nearly everything they've done. This only makes me like them more, naturally. you may like their detective (louder with mouth open) and (bank robbery) skits as both are hat heavy.
Actually there is another picture taken here with my jacket unbuttoned which is far better overall , but it was a horizontal shot so it cut out most of my pants. Vanity made me choose this one i guess.
I don't necessarily work overnight shifts but i've always been a night person- for me my day starts after work and ends at 4 am.. then starts again at noon (working 2-10 or whatnot) but i always function best at the wee hours of the morning. Perhaps its a holdover from college days of staying up...
I've have been adhereing more rigidly to the Straw Hat day rule but the last weeek we had nothing but rainy, cool days. The warm weather only kicked up this week...
so took advantage of the day off at the aquarium .
I've been going to town with old films lately, I bought D.O.A. and High Sierra. DOA was the last film i watched, but i'm looking forward to High Sierra next. Before that i saw The Moon which was a very impressive film from 2009. I didn't expect the actor to be nearly as convincing as he was (ive...
The hat that piqued my interested was a green fedora with a gold band, as Tom Berenger wears in The Field, but i'm just looking to see what they have. He wears the hat prominently in the film, but naturally i can't find a single picture of him wearing it online.
hat shops in nyc
I was looking to see if this topic was already here, i'm sure it is but i'm looking for recommendations on hat shops in NYC to see. I've seen a customer, an older indian man come in with a hat he said he bought in manhattan for 200 dollars. It looks just like the hat Tom...
I've probably posted in this thread here before, but interesting to see this thread is already 5 years old, some of the folks mentioned here are probably already way above the "under 25" now. I wonder how many still post here or still have this interest. I have since i can remember, and i always...
I lost my irish flatcap a few days ago (such a shame!) and am looking for a new cap, any suggestions? I've been looking for something like this http://www.dadshats.com/bagtwwoneca.html
I'm just surprised, are these 60-80 + dollars normal price for flatcaps, i assumed they were much cheaper! The...
I just started a new job doing doorman type work/half janitor work so i usually get stuck in a tacky, polyester uniform but i did manage to get a new suit i've had an eye on for some time- a light blue irish linen two button.
I'm pleased with it. The tie here is a vintage tie as well.
Oh man don't even get me started on legos, i used to be obsessed with these as a kid. Honestly these are probably the best toy out there, they actually allow for creativity and imagination rather than most of the junk out there. I've got some sets from the late 80s- early 90s, but obviously i...
thanks for the link but the sizes always are a hitch, they are either too short on the sleeves or too boxy and huge on the body for me. I do have a nice short sleeve one i got ages ago on the cheap from there, it was plain but no complaints. My issue is if i'm going to pay for a decent guayabera...
I was about to mention that, the game of the year edition on steam cost me only 24.99 and contained all the expansions (which from what it seems, are just added to your map in game so you don't have to start over in any area, and can freely go from say, the capital wasteland to Point Lookout...
Over in NYC i see both, but there you can go and see it everywhere, even in Churches. I understand that today its sort of driven into people's heads that men shouldn't care about their appearances or dressing well is "effeminate" etc. While there is overdoing it, granted, this has led to...
I hear Tesco just banned the pajama thing, but yes, it seems over there people live in pajamas and track suits/sweatpants. Don't get me wrong, I love Ireland but i found that all very disappointing.
sorry for the double post but some things i noted:
Guy in a t shirt around 18 minutes in and a guy with clip on suspenders at the 19:22 mark. I always imagined clip on suspenders were a relatively modern thing. didn't expect to see them back then.
Yes i saw a documentary on the Cuban/South African negotiations during the war in Angola and the cuban diplomat is boasting about how the SA diplomats were sweating and couldn't cope with either their cigar smoking or the lack of AC. It was a macho boast on his part, but i figured if even the...
