I made a snood using this pattern
http://www.knitting-crochet.com/crochet/persno.html
Used red cotton yarn.
I have no hair to fill it though, my hair is too short. So that's why it doesn't look filled out.
This is my persian lamb coat and muff. I got this 2 years ago, just never posted this. This is in MINT condition. I got it from a local antique store who bought out one lady's estate. The guy said they didn't have any kids and she spent all her money on coats, purses, and gloves. So I got this...
powder looks horrible on me if my skin is dry. to overcome this, i put on extra mosturizer on before applying the powder.
i don't have this problem in the summer. only winter.
to me, it kinda looks like some clear rings were sewn onto the ends (at the top of her head) and then ribbon was added to tie it tight and have a bow on top of her head.
as for the bottom, maybe she just tucks it a certain way? i'd love to see one of these up close. i love head accessories.
last year, hubby gave me a mini roses plant. which promptly almost died. but, i managed to keep the roots and stems alive and in the spring, planted in the front yard hoping for the best. not only did it come back to life, but it quadrupled in size and produced the most beautiful roses until...
i am really confused. i don't sell that much on ebay, it's been a few years.
why can't sellers leave negative feedback for buyers? what if the buyer doesn't pay or is horrible to deal with, etc.
if someone doesn't pay me, why would i leave positive feedback???
can someone please explain...
adaveen: i'm crocheting a snood as we speak! i'm almost done with it. :)
unfortunately, i have short hair. not enough to fill the snood. i think i may get a fake mini-wig, like a ponytail one and use that to fill the snood.
marydeluxe: you just described my hubby's perfect date. :eusa_clap
he is an expert historian on tanks, esp ww2 ones. he's been wanting to go to that museum forever.
we have one in ohio that we go to a few times a year.
that pierre one is really pretty. that's great that they belonged to gramma. makes them extra special.
i collect scarves. i have about 20 (that is my estimate, i've never counted them)
however...i know NOTHING about scarves. i just buy what i like. i wear mine alot in the summer on my head...
if you have some more disposable income and a heaping-load of confidence...
how about a sexy photograph of you that was professionally taken. like a pinup picture.
someday i will do this. "someday" being the key word
well, i really took my time. it's almost done. i just have to sew the elastic band on it which i'll most likely do tonight. i had to go to the store today to buy some.
once i figured the pattern out, it went fast. but i don't think this is a bus-ride kind of pattern. you have to count rows...
hmmm good idea!
now that i'm thinking....i don't have any winter dresses (vintage or modern) anyway.
my closet is in sad shape. i need a whole wardrobe makeover.
i'll just wear my summer vintage dress and freeze. i'll be ok. i have enough padding to keep me warm.
retrobabydoll: i highly recommend just making your scarves and a bunch of dishcloths before you start on any snoods.
i've been crocheting for years and consider myself somewhat experienced and i just started my first snood last week. for me, it wasn't hard, but there were a few spots where i...
