I read the paper pretty frequently actually, but I know I'm the exception there. I highly doubt any but the biggest papers will remain very long.
Magazines, however, I think will last a good while. To me, there's nothing the same as National Geographic in print.
I got a few things from them awhile ago. The clothing definitely isn't top notch..but still. Even then it was ridiculously cheap, and it's all weathered more or less okay.
And DEFINITELY double check sizes on any and everything against your body. Scotrace is right about it being hit or miss.
I remember a specific instance when, as a child, I asked my Mom where people got clothes without words on them. I thought only rich and famous people could afford plain shirts.

The Uggs look comfy enough, but I'd be wary of whether or not they're distinctly feminine. If they aren't, and it's cold enough where you're from to warrant it, I'd wear 'em.
