I only use the sweetner in the pink package in iced tea due to the fact that it disolves fully where sugar granules do not. I hate diet soda.
But everyone should remember that those that are in the upper limits of blood sugar boundries who desire sweet foods have little recourse.....
Hemingway and all- there is a near identical jacket to the Hughes one for sale on Ebay now in size 40-42 which is too small for me. http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-40s-mens-2-tone-Hollywood-style-sport-jacket_W0QQitemZ8365614459QQcategoryZ52391QQtcZphotoQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Hey up196- I noticed the subtle stuff too. As I said I watch the original an hour before seeing the 2005 and that way you notice the close parallels in exact script lines and storyline.
In 1971 I donated my time to a very small classic theater. The owner got ahold of the uncut version and...
Was in an "old stuff" shop the other day and they had 3 old table lighters. All needed tarnish removed and I have no ide if any were silver or whatever. Is anyone looking for things like that? Last I saw of them was when I was a kid in the mid-1950s then they disappeared. I assume most were...
Just my opinion but if one is going to bid for an item he might as well simply do as Ebay say, enter the MOST he is willing to pay for an item. Part of what runs items up to ludicrious amounts beyond market values is the frenzy in the end that someone with more money than brains keeps bidding...
It's actually part of the problem with any special interest item on Ebay. There are lots of goofballs with more money than sense and they just don't care if they spend way over what something is worth. I'm in the classic cars hobby and have often seen idiots bid 30-50% more than a showroom #1...
I've always loved the way Howard Hughes dressed casually. When not suited up he still wore his fedora with a plain shirt and light coat. As we see here his slacks belt loops are empty.
Around the hanger and the airfields he was seen in the above type casual or the waist-length cotton...
I don't know how this fits in but I write historical combat articles- about 200 so far and 3 book-length manuscripts. I have interviewed many ace pilots from many countries and other veterans of combat. Most of my stuff is fit into acknowledged historical accounts with my narratives simply...
Brings me to ponder the fact that over the past 30+ years there have been some huge perennial box office male draws like Clint Eastwood, Jack Nicholson, Robert Deniro and several others. Except for, perhaps, Meryl Streep for awhile when every other movie spit out had her in it there have been no...
You guys have some nice and fun stuff! I meant no context of anything controversial but things like normal Lugers, Webleys, Mausers and such.
I have a few only- a 1945 CZ Podnik 6.35 mm pocket pistol, a 1915 Astra .32 auto brought home by a WW I vet, from about 1915 a Colt .32-20 revlover-...
People criticizing the decisions made by those before who acted with the best intent based on the information input available at the time can't be faulted for acting incorrectly. We cannot immerse ourselves in the current of time so as to experience the mood and thinking of the past...
If MK will allow it here is an article I wrote several years ago about the Hughes flying boat. Howard is my favorite era character. Enjoy.
HERCULES UNCHAINED
It?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s big. It flew only one time. The Hughes H-4 Hercules is a wartime transport that visionaries of 1942 saw as a feasible...
Yeah jamespowers- As a writer of historical subjects, WW2 in particular, I have found that the fallacy lies in people today, knowing what they know attempting to project today's morality and sociological values to the past. Arguements prevail about subjects whether Germany could have beaten...
