Victorian Cane Fighting and Gentlemenly self-defense

I see they're owned by Cold Steel. Boy have they come a long way from just making tanto knives. I guess I haven't been keeping up very well on the knife scene! Boy it used to be just Gerber, Buck, Randall and Russell. Now there's hundreds of them. Actually a few years ago I bought a...

    Vintage car observation.

Looks great from the pic. Is it a California car? I keep seeing this rat-rod around town, a 34 ford covertible or at least it is now, but it still has it's 34 califorina plate! I love that.

    30's~40's Work Boots

what I did was ordered the Boss Boots from West Coast Shoes, but in Brown, which you have to ask for, then went with the "Motor Cycle Police" toe and the lowest sole they had. This best looked like the classic 40's-50's engineer boots. And now with a little Breaking in, they're starting to...

    30's~40's Work Boots

Redwing does make one, and I see a lot of the horsehide wolverine's on ebay. And it's real vintage, but usually odd sizes. Those Indy boots do look quite nice. I personally bought a pair of West Coast Shoes Engineer boots, but had them custom made to look like a pair of 50's engineer boots.

    Action back

Willis and Geiger made their shirts with a bi-swing back, even the dress shirts. But they're gone now. I do still have one W&G shirt that is very comfortable to wear.

    Are We Not Male?

I've heard that name before, but I'm unfamilar with what it is. What is "Smear the Queer?"

    Are We Not Male?

Not to quote the manly man of all men Mr. T, but I pitty the fool who thinks that Keanu Reeves is a manly role model!

    Nice Landing!

Mycroft did you intentionally put the drinking smiling man beside the comment on pilots? If not it was kind of funny.. in an ironic way that is. Kudos to that pilot! But 4 hours of coverage on local LA tv was a bit much...

    Cars then and Now

looks like a Cord 812. But it looks low to the ground. The 812 was supercharged and could do 100 mph. Much faster than any police car of the day and the car I believe was the first with retractable headlights. I use to live near Auburn Ind. where they once made Auburn, Cord and Duesenbergs...

    Help a girl out!

Whizzer with an "h". I didn't know they remanufactured those. It's just a thought, but for some reason... I see a big orange circle behind you and the bike. (I know it's not there now) but it should be.

How many folk know their own country's anthem these days?

I don't think it's a lack of respect, they just don't know they're suppose too. I've come to the realization that there are just a bunch of really ignorant people in this country. Kids are graduating high school who couldn't point to the USA on a world map. How in the world would they know...

It IS All About Arm Holes

have you tried cleaning it? And the smell just adds to the "correctness" of the period. Or just buy suits from places that are cold and people don't sweat that much.
