Pink, those are lovely. I am going to have to check out Target. Those shoes you got are great!!
Here is what I bought and got it for $15 which includes shipping. I already have a cute vintage white belt to wear with it.
Doh sorry JBD! lol
You will be thankful if you move here in the summer though. It is goregeous here in the summer. Plus you are not that far away from the Cape and other beaches. The fall is beautiful too. The folliage is outstanding and the air is refreshing and....and...
Thanks JBD. I do own some vintage regular slips and I can definately tell they are of better quality. I will now be on the hunt for a full slip as well. I need one anyhow for a ribbon suit I own that I want to wear for the summer. That is if the summer ever gets here. ;)
This is not my hair, but I wanted to show it to you all. lol Sorry for the bluriness. It is out of a book I own and I scanned it.
JBD, I could see you hair in something like this! :eusa_clap
Thanks LD! I am a tad slow tonight due to the heavy does of Benedryl I took for my allergies. I didn't even think of doing a search. :o
JDB, that makes sense now. I bet dresses like that would be really nice in the summer. I don't know if I could be brave enough to do it though. What if...
How does one go about wearing those shear dresses I see?
On eBay? There are a ton of pretties getting listed on eBay but they are totally sheer and see through.
Now I know there was more of an element of modesty than there is today so obviously they had something solid on underneath...
Okay, I took the advise from all of you wonderful ladies here and used more hair this time in my rollers. I also waited for it to be slightly damp.
Observations:
1. It is getting much easier to roll. I don't know if it's due to the conditions above or if it's due to me getting used to...

I am squeeing for you LD!!! That dress is fantastic!!!! I love the color and the buttons. And it is so cool how he got it in Germany!
Please take some pics for us after you alter it so we can see what it looks like! :eusa_clap
I can only imagine!! I remember Filene's, Jordan Marsh, etc. but would have loved to have been around w/ the 5 and 10's. Downtown Worcester is totally depressing right now which is a shame. :(
Lizzie, I saw on New England Cable News that you were all about to get hit hard by the snow. I hope it melts soon! We only got about 1/2 and inch and it's already starting to melt.
I used to use squee all the time. lol
I love fruit on my dresses and shirts. I also love embroidered fruit on linens and linen skirts.
Marzipan shaped as fruit is delicious. I have to stare at it for a while in awe before I woof it down. lol
This whole week has been lousy IMO. I think it's because it has been so gray here up in the Northeast. I am getting antsie for the warmer weather and it's just not coming and it's making me cranky. I think it's making other people cranky too because everyone at work has been short tempered...
I just want to say that I have been using the Ponds to take off my makeup since Saturday and I do notice my face is softer and it takes off a lot of makeup without drying it out. It's funny because I bought a bunch of Ponds moisterizers on clearance at CVS (probably enought to last me a year)...
It is one of the biggest reasons why I don't like to buy from eBay. I am getting desperate for dresses though and am taking my chances.
What I recommend is taking a dress that fits you well and measuring that. It may work better than taking your own measurements. I also recommend measuring...
I bet that green suit you bought lifted your spirits some. I saw that on the other thread and my heart skipped a beat. It is absolutely breath taking.
