I've both the chocolate brown and navy (just ordered so not yet worn), and have machine washed it with no problems. It says machine washable on the site (but yes, bizarrely enough, has a dry clean tag). Hope this helps!
BTW, I loved the Artie Shaw version so much I chose it to do my last Quickstep medals test to it...So, what the heck does Diga Diga Doo mean (the A.S. version is instrumental)??? Was I dancing to something filthy and unmentionable? lol
I don't know if it's just me, but I've always perceived his "Honeysuckle Rose" as fairly, um, erotic. :D
And speaking of Fats, how about "Hold Tight (Want Some Seafood Mama)"? Truly bizarre, when interpreted by the Andrews Sisters. Would you have the Rum and Coca Cola to get in the mood for...
I know there are quite a few swing dancers out there in the Lounge, but I was curious to know how many if any of you out there like to do Ballroom and/or Latin dance?
I always remembered fondly listening to the original broadcasts of CBS Radio Mystery Theatre, and I think it was through finding that decades later on internet radio which led me to OTR.
Now before going to sleep always I put on a story and fall asleep to it...
Three on a Match, anyone? 63 minutes (according to IMDB) of non-stop Pre-code fun, nary a chance to catch your breath. Same could be said of most of the (WB) Pre-codes, if I'm not mistaken. Lots of bang for your buck, and less wear on the seat of your trousers.

I'd love to get ahold of this one, but it's a bit out of my price range.
Speaking of Halloween, there isn't a camp around where you live, is there...?
Let me go a bit more lowbrow here. I would have liked to see all of William Castle's films in the theatres when they came out, complete of course with gimmicks - Emergo! Percepto! Illusion-O!
Where can you go nowadays for such ballyhoo and silly low-tech fun?
Other than that, I would have...
There's a winter footwear thread with many of us ladies pondering the same thing already. You may find it if you click on new posts as it's been abuzz recently!
I didn't even know about Gloria Stuart. One of my desert island films is The Old Dark House (Titanic, you can keep it).
I've always been quite fond of Houdini...
I'm so jealous of you across the pond with TCM...our TCMUK is pretty terrible. Even though I've seen all of those, and own most of them, I love having films presented to me, and I love film marathons. (I was in the States for about a year, and that was the only channel I ever watched! Robert...
I can lend you my greyhounds for that. The only problem is that they will then take over all of your soft furnishings!
(N.B. the first sentence is only a joke. I love all animals on this green earth and would wish none of them harm.)
Yes, I must say, I "get it" (the attraction for Colin Clive) too, being quite susceptible to "unconventional" charms. My first love was Peter Lorre! Both George E. Stone and Edward G. Robinson make my heart skip a beat...it's great when they're both in the same film!
