Well, they do offer their "Memphis Belle" A2, with or without the painting applied to the back.
I'm suprised no one has tried this out yet, It probably won't be as accurate as any of the top-repros, but we may be pleasantly surprised.
I bet you could get the real version of everything in that case for less than the 1000 dollars the toy goes for. :p
I'm quite a bit younger than most of you, so when I was growing up Power Rangers just hit the air and EVERYONE had to have a Megazord.
Has anyone tried any of the online Asia-based tailors?
BTW, what is the proper length of the collar if you were to get one custom? I've seen many places offer custom collar-length at the least.
I think photos like this also highlight the color combinations(of shirts, shoes, jackets, overcoats, etc) these guys wore that would never be thought of today.
I'm the kind of guy that if I see a really old newspaper that someone has used for wrapping something up in the attic, I take it out...
I've been on the lookout at every antique shop, garage sale, and thrift store I go to for a vintage rotary phone.
I'd love to have one, but I just can't bring myself to spend upwards of 200 dollars that these people are charging online.
You'd think that with so many made, and so many that...
Thanks for the info, Shindeco.
I think I've figured out what look I'm going to go for, what would you guys say to this combo?
White dinner jacket
Burgandy cummerbund
black bowtie(possibly bat-winged, depending on what I can find)
plain-front(non-pleated) french-cuffed shirt w/wing...
That fashion wasn't just a few years back, its still here in full force from what I can tell. In places like Abercrombie and Fitch, that is even now pretty much their front-running lineup.
I've seen some guys sport this look, but is it a major faux pas to wear an un-matching cummerbund? Say a red cummerbund with a black tie?
Also, what about a jacket with peak lapels and a cummerbund(black to match a black bowtie)?
