Very few decent repros of WAAF kit around, avoid Warhorse. A good tailor here drafting from originals, not cheap but right.
Why not go for the stewards uniform? Much easier and rarely done.

You can still buy Puttees quite easily. The boys wear them when we do WW1 and their legs itch for ages when they take them off!
love that pic of the doughboy! :eusa_clap verrry nice!
GrantFan, don't sweat it! it's healed very well. My 13 year old son was born with a slight cleft in his lip and it's virtually unnoticeable now.
A bit of dermablend if it really bothers you or something light reflective.

Lookin classy there Paul!
I love the look of fur in the 30s, problem is here in the UK at 40s events everyone gets it wrong! They wear a fur stole with a cotton frock and a shopping basket!
Grrrrr
In the antiques trade here in the uk they are commonly referred to as a kitchenette. I have one, a 30s one albeit, with a lovely enamelled drop down which is just the right height for my son to make himself a sandwich on....then leave the jam on the board and close the door......said jam then...
I like a uniform.......:-)
This is my other half......
And I love that classic tennis look from the 30s, Jimmy stewart in white trousers and an open necked shirt.....
And men in 50s style jeans, slightly grubby....white t-shirt....as Kamikat said 'nom nom nom!'lol
Re favours, the little bags of sugared almonds must have been around in the UK as I have the remnants of them from my grandparents wedding in 1932. It was little muslin bags or georgette/netting.

This is my mother's dog, Polly. (as in Polly wolly doodles all the day-which she does in inappropriate places.. )
This is her as our mascot at an event earlier this...
I'd like this, there's something very festive about Tartan! So I'm ordering this. I know I'll get loads of wear out of it.
Amy Jeanne, where in the UK? I'm near York if you want a tour guide!
You could remove the mesh and high neck, build up the neck into a sweetheart. Slim down the sleeves, or appeal to his granny and *sniff* say that *sniff* you always wanted to wear a *sniffle* vintage dress......it would be sooooooo special...
Loving the bangs!!!! I'm tempted, I just had a mini disaster with the kitchen scissors and a roll of sellotape...
Inky, your avatar.....gaaaaahhhh!!!! I'm scared!!!!!
I went to Haworth today, (birthplace of the Brontes fact fans!) and discovered the cheese shop there...
I bought Vampires Doom. (garlic infused cheddar...)
and Sage crown (a lovely creamy cheese with a layer of finely chopped sage....
Oh why does it have to be so bad for you?
With the old fashioned sponge on a plastic stick type (where the end locks onto the other end of the plastic rod) I've found the best thing is, dry hair to start. Spritz with light spray of water. then some mousse, work it through then set your curlers in place and sleep on em.
My hair is...
