I'm actually loving the new Live Colour XXL Reds range by Schwarzkopf. I don't know what it is with Schwarzkopf but it just seems to agree with my hair (thick curly dry) and give it a shine.
I used Dark Spice and it's a bit darker than I wanted, but it's ok. It covered up a disaster of ginger...
Ha ha! Hailey that's exactly my view with Vogue too! I gave up trying to follow their instructions about 10 yrs back....bloomin awful! I'll let you all know how I get on.

Hi Crwitt,
it's a vogue options one, 9668....I started it today and it's a pain already.....
Grump. PMT and sewing don't mix do they? I'm thinking of making the long halter in a mad cherry print too just for a 40s/50s music festival where it's always warm.
DPD, that looks original!!! Gorgeous. Well done!
I'm working on a modern pattern at the moment, (the one on the far left) There are some good reviews on the net. I'm making the skirt slightly more full.
You'll have to excuse me, I'm on a totally :offtopic: 'oooh don't you look like' but Crazy Daisy it's been driving me mad trying to think of who you remind me of and finally!!!! Mia Sara in Legend.
Lord, I must go to an American BBQ!
Ours involve wanging some sausage onto a grill over hot fake charcoal and cremating them. Last night's BBQ involved a litre bottle of pimms, some mint ice cubes and half a ton of fruit, lots of swearing from my other half as he tried to light the damnable...

My ancient gym teacher at school had one in the 80s!lol
My mother still uses the BBQ she and my father purchased in Malaysia in the 60s. I had friends over last night for a backyard Barbie and it was lovely to mix up dressings and marinades.
(Even nicer to have BBQ weather here in Blighty!);)
Weirdly, for the first time since I was a teen I bought a solid 'Witch Stick' last week whilst on my hols.
Wouldn't use it every day but it did the job on the large Zitola that appeared a day before I went to meet my fiance on his return from the Dunkirk march....
Worked a treat...

I've looked through my copy of the 1936 'wedding and marriage' book. It seems to concur with the above, the bride wears the gloves down the aisle, then when she turns to her bridesmaid to hand her the bouquet she takes them off.
To be honest, I think taking nerves into account it may be as...
Have a good look at some of the photos, those chaps were bloody exhausted..I've interviewed them, and the WAAF's and from my point of view if we hadnt had some of the pre-war RAF and Polish pilots who did have the experience I'm not sure of the outcome.
It was still a close run thing and to...
Nice work Lauren,
have you ever converted one of the long line zip up housecoats? I have a gorgeous one that I'd love to wear as a dress but need inspiration. Other than shortening it I'm flummoxed,
