Nikki, I have been buying all the repro patterns I could get my hands on for the past few years. I have finally started to make them and I find that all I have worked with so far have lots of extra ease added to them for the "modern" woman. In otherwords, I think you loose the vintage look if...
I did end up making the dress is size 14. It fits fine. I put a review up here:

I am a 42-35-44 and bought the EW suit in a 16 which was WAY too big. I exchanged if for a 14 which was better but I would prefer it to be a tad snugger. I usually fit a size 12 in suits off the rack. Had I gone by that instead of their measurements I may have been more satisfied with the fit. I...

Finished!
I had to make the bust darts larger, lengthen the front waist tucks and add a third button, but I think it came out great! My first time working with and altering a vintage pattern.:D

Also if you have any heavy fridge magnets, they work good as pattern weights.
I need to photocopy my primer too, since my...
Miss 1929 you have read my mind!! I have been thinking this very thing lately. Since Beauty has it's own I think sewing should. The "sewing lessons and faq thread" has become impossible to search. I don't mind things being consolidated but sometimes I think it gets too hard to read through 80+...
I have 4 of the Revlon Matte collection. I love the Really Red best.
The best time to buy them is when the are BOGO Free at Walgreens or CVS. There are also lots of Revlon $1 and $2 off coupons and on the BOGO, you can use 2 coupons, making each lipstick about $2.00!!
