I used to work in a sporting good shop that sold Filson and I have several of there items. I really think the wool clothing is where Filson shines. The Mac Cruiser is a classic....I also had a double Mac for a while but it was just too much coat. I really hated to see Filson selling imports...
This is sort of tough to explain but....On the second photo you posted you can see where there is a weight line in your hair from where it goes from shorter to longer hair above your ears....it also looks like you have the same weight line behind your ears where it doesn't quite fade right from...
Your hair looks pretty good as is. A few suggestions: Grow some sideburns to about the middle of your ear. I think a little more taper on the back of your head and the sides. From the photos you can see how the hair sticks out a bit on the sides giving it a bit of a rounded appearance. It...
I was working for a jet aircraft manufacturing company which is stationed at our local airport. Heard the news and we all turned on the TV in our conference room and watched it unfold. It was a little nerve racking as ALL flights were being grounded and we had all sorts of aircraft coming into...
Not a Golden Era piece but still sort of neat.
A 1988 Precista Royal Navy issued dive watch. It is believed to be less than 10 or so of these watches out there that survived and are in collectors hands from the 1988 issue. This one is the lowest recorded serial number of the range.
I am pretty new to hats so please bear with me. I've got an old cowboy hat and a beat up Indy style fedora I have had for about 20 years and looking for something a bit more stylish.
I found a pic of a member wearing a hot that I really like...hopefully posting the pic here is acceptable...
For all the denim heads I would suggest a couple of forums...
http://www.styleforum.net/index.php?
http://www.superfuture.com/city/supertalk/index.php
Each forum has a denim sub-forum that I have found to be very helpful.
I just listed some jeans on ebay that I swear were made for JC Penny's by wrangler. They are selvage and have the Talon zips. The thing that really tips me off is the back pockets. That have that same weave line that goes through the back pockets just like the Bluebell Wranglers you posted...
I would point you to a couple of places.
http://syo.dalrun.com/
http://www.ryomagazine.com/
Both are good starting places for info. The Stuff Your Own site will have comparisons for different tobacco brands and tubes by several different people and I have found it pretty helpful. The Roll...
I roll my own using an injection stuffing machine. I can turn out a pack in about 5-10 minutes depending on how fast I am trying to stuff them. You buy the cigarette tubes with the filter already attached. There are so many premium tobacco's out there that are so much better than any...
I lived in a place with a claw foot tub at one time. I have always been a shower guy but the tub really didn't bother me. I used to wake up in the morning and start filling the tub with hot water while I made coffee and got a few things together. Relaxing in the tub first thing in the morning...
If I am running really late I will sometimes use my electric. It does a pitiful job at best compared to a DE.
When I shave with a DE I can usually go a couple of days between shaves. When I use an electric I shave a couple of times a day to look presentable.
There is a product I have found that I really like and use daily.... Groom and Clean by Suave. It washes out without any problems. I first rub in a little brylcreem (for shine) and then the G and C (for hold). I have used most of the heavier waxes like Murray's, RC, American Crew and some of...
