I'm in Little Rock, Arkansas where these are popular!
I think Aaron made a great suggestion about an Ivy cap to start. I just need to find a good one in a brown tweed.
I like the stinger that I have but not too sure about the crown....It seems just a little to high and the bash is like...
The problem in my area even though I live in the largest city in my state is lack of hat shops. I think the only options are ball caps at the athletic shops in the mail and kangol hats at the local "pimp shop".
I remember my family taking a vacation to Washington D.C. as a kid and all of us...
I got in a couple of hats last week...a newsboy and a stringy brim. I'm just not sure how I feel about myself in them. Did it take you a while to get used to how you look while wearing a hat? The gf thinks the fedora looks better than the newsboy and I would tend to agree....I really wanted...
Ha....I too have a 94 Olds 98! I got it when my grandfather passed away....it was the car he used to take Grandma to church in on Sundays so she didn't have to ride in the farm truck. It really has been a pretty good car....but I need to get the headliner fixed! It has the best feature you...
After wearing this around the house for a couple of days I just don't think the cap is for me. It is the #6 Brown Herringbone with leather sweatband. I paid $39 and asking for $25 including shipping.
PM or email to twistedstrings@NOSPAMgmail.com Be sure and remove NOSPAM from the email addy.
I know what you are talking about as well. I want it to be a low profile cap that comes down to my ears on the sides and rest on the top of my head without any additional height.
Does anyone have a tanker jacket they could tell me about? I was looking at one on the At the Front site...which seems to be down at the moment or I would provide a link. Not having seen one in person I'm curious about how they fit, are they warm and anything else you might tell me.
Thanks...
I have a rather large crown area from what I can tell and really prefer a ball cap to sit down close on my head. I have tried on several over the years and the more full cut caps are perfect. With most caps I feel sort of like I'm wearing one of those hats with the propeller on the top.
Have any of you heard of this company?

Looks like they are only available in Japan.....I hate finding just the right piece of traditional American clothing only to find it is available in Japan or Europe only!
That Lands End would be great if it didn't have the one patch pocket and one flap pocket.
I really like this one on the HP site.

Anyone know if there are similar shirts that might be a bit cheaper the the Buzz Ricksons?
I guess I left off an important request....no button down collar and preferabilly patch pockets with not flaps. But that Bean one might do in a pinch. Any other places I might look?
Can someone describe the fit of the crown on these hats. I have one I'm looking at but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Does the hat tend to sit up high on your head or do the sides come down close to the tops of your ears? I guess I'm talking about the volume as discussed on the Cooperstown...
As the title says I'm looking for a lightweight chambray shirt. I'm wanting something along the lines of a light blue, long sleeve, button up workshirt. I had one years ago that was made by LL Bean. It was light enough I could wear it in the summer with the sleeves rolled up and good for the...
I think the new cut looks much better. I would also agree with the sideburns. I think if you keep them neat it will help balance out your cut.
I think it will look even better as the top grows out a bit and I think this will enable the stylist to fade a little better between the short and...
