I mostly use my vintage handbags. One of my DIL's is a modern 'purse' aficionado and has gifted me with a few which I use when I need to carry A LOT. as when we head to the coast for the day, I'm hauling my iPad with me, ect. Either way, I always have my vintage wallet that holds the basics...
Great find! I saw one at the thrift store this past week for $10 but my small cottage can only hold so much and I have a chair for my desk...not as nice, mind you!
I find them at thrift stores. It's really hit and miss though. I can sew and have a vintage pattern that fits me just right so I will make two new dresses soon but usually it's a thrifted dress for me, June or Lucy inspired!
I agree with you all around. My husband NEVER wore shorts since leaving high school gym class UNTIL he went to Mexico fishing ten years ago...and then never wore them here until the past year and even then the weather has to be 100!! Otherwise wrangler jeans everyday! Bless his heart, he did try...

I've had to do this a few times when in doubt about shoes and a...
I only know that I feel 'right' when I am dressed more 'vintage' than not, that my confidence is good even though there isn't a soul in town that I've run into who dresses like me. Now I am an introvert by nature and I prefer not to 'announce' I've arrived but I need to dress comfortably...
I had a lady one day come up to me and say she was so embarrassed to say it but she liked my hips!! I had on a wool pencil skirt and sweater set. She said women don't dress like that anymore but they looked better when they did, to which I wholeheartedly agreed
I didn't but I wanted to ask her...
I read this not too long ago and it's great to hear how she does her 'routine'! Very simple really, even if your not her! Years ago my grandmother told me, "never go out of the house without lipstick, always have a 'go-to' outfit or two and once you find what works for you, stick to it and spend...
