I have bigger calves too and I found a pair a couple years ago that were Naturalizer's called Plus Boots. They fit perfect. winter vintage style vs. summer vintage style?
This is the only winter vintage dress I have, but I love it. It's a wool jersey, not very thick, but really warm and comfy with stretch. So I've tried both brown and black accessories with this purple dress and I like both! We are actually doing a 2-part reenactment/skit at the show.
