MarieAnne- you might check Sallys for clips. Seems like I bought some there once.
I am currently waiting for delivery on a set of Tight curls. I'll let ya'll know how they work out :)
Sofft has some really cute shoes for fall. These are just a sample, and they have some other interesting color selections.
I'm thinking about these- I've always wanted some Blue Suede Shoes!
And
and I don't know how vintage these are, but I think they are super cute!
I found some saddle shoes on ebay for 30 bucks in my size. They are Bass, so hopefully they will fit and be comfy. I figured I'd try these and see if I wear them a lot, and then if I do, maybe invest in the Muffy's in white and red.
Inky, I have those- they are really comfy. A little narrow, but I have a wider foot. But they stretched fine, and I wear them every chance I get :) I have the red and they are a dark red, with kinda brown undertones, not a bright red.
Kamikat, not sure which styles you have? I have the Dara...
I really like that LL Bean jacket! Is it a blazer you could wear all day, or more like outerwear? And I was in the Clarks retail store the other day and they have some very vintage-y shoes.
I was scanning this thread for ideas, and I just noticed this dress. I had to sell it because it got too big, but I had this exact same dress! I'm sure it's not the same one though because she looks small, but wild anyway! And it sure looks more vibrant with their camera.
I scanned a few more pictures of my grandmother.
She had a diner in the 50s-60s. I think this may be the only photo of her there. She's on the right.
And a portrait, I think from the 50s
This is her as a baby, on my great-grandmother's lap
On the metal clamps that I have, I fix it up and sit under the dryer for about 30 minutes. Then I take the clamps out and use alligator clips to hold in place to sleep. Yeah, those would not be good to sleep in!
Yeah- Wonder if banana clips would work!
I found these on a German site

This woman has some great other pictures too, check it out...
This is from a Montgomery Wards 1935 catalog. They have something called water wave combs. That might be what you are looking for?
Here's the full-size scan
Great idea! I have bought from a couple other Loungers, Lauren and Vanessa, with much success. I'm sure we all want to support each other!
Here's the link to my etsy store. I am TexasGirlVintage I am mainly selling 1930s items, but may have others too. :)
They show up on ebay from time to time. Mine are labeled Mervin, but I think that's the brand, and that they also make the regular wave clips too. But it's great because it "makes" the wave. And if that's cheating- I don't care! ;) Those other clips you see all the time are just to hold the...
Here's some of the pics- I had moved them into categories and they disappeared on here- sorry :)
And I used the smallest sponge rollers, blue on the bottom part
Here's the results, although this was a different day, and I think my hair was a bit longer
