1987? I thought this was a vintage photo! How beautiful! And I'll be the first to ask...how did you get so lucky as to bath yourself in such beautiful jewelry!!!
And congrats on moving towards your goal!!! :eusa_clap
Really? That's fantastic! Nice to know that the greasy washcloth problem is truly a vintage problem...hee hee.
It seems that facial tissue would leave fuzzy lint and perhaps even the more expensive toilet papers might do the same. I may just invest in the cheap TP to start tissuing off my...
I've had great results by conditioner only washing, but I don't use any styling products. My scalp seemed to balance out really well, much like my face has with cold cream. My pin curl sets seems to last sans styling, yesterday I battled frizz (probably due to rain). I've gotten away with...
So I must admit I had a "smack palm of hand on forehead" moment (to be read: a "duh" moment) while removing my cold cream.
I tissued off first then followed with a warm washcloth. I'm sure this will aid in abating the greasy washcloth problem.
I can't believe I didn't think of it...
I'm guilty as well!!! I ordered the lavender. I'm addicted to Lisa Freemont Street tutorials and reviews...I also ordered two snoods from Va Va Va Voom on etsy :)
I don't use shampoo...only conditioner to wash my hair. I still end up oily (not so much as with shampoo though). Although, I may have to resort back to shampoo when I start using more styling products. I'm going to try to avoid hairspray.
Lizzie...do you get oily at all? I'd love to...
Where do you ladies buy your fans? I've only found the cheap plastic ones...I'd love to invest in a better fan :)
I also would adore a lovely parasol. I live in AZ and the sun is just terrible sometimes!
EDITED to add: I was reading the fan thread...I JUST missed the Matsuri Festival...
I do know that dairy is a trigger for me. I seem to do okay with yogurt for some reason...but cheese and milk is a no go for me.
And I do have thyroid issues...so that counts out soy. My doctor said that if I do ingest soy, I shouldn't do it in large amounts and to avoid taking it too close...
I have been researching diet and various things. When I turned 30 I was planning on going vegetarian. I bought some veggie/vegan cookbooks. When I went to go make a grocery list, I noticed that much of the recipes relied on soy (tofu) and seitan (wheat gluten). Now, soy mimics estrogen in...
Isn't Boots lovely? It's a great cleansing cream. I have never seen it in a jar larger than that tiny 1.6 oz. That's a big reason why I have gone with the more economical Ponds (to soon be replaced with Jergens). I prefer Boots though, hands down. It also doesn't leave my washcloths as oily...
After watching Lisa Freemont Street's review of I Love Trouble Cosmetics from www.pinupgirlclothing.com I took a chance and ordered two of the matte lipsticks. I really like them, one is a red, so not for this post, but the other is a lovely matte mauve. I really like it...
Sending you oodles and oodles of love Blondie! I think cupcake is right...YOU could be the answer for many women who love the vintage life. Just think of the road you will pave for others by sharing what you find out along your journey.
I keeping you in my thoughts beautiful Blondie! Your...
I always use too much of everything...haha. Thanks MarieAnne!
I'm excited to finally get my hands on this. Sounds like a trip to Sally's is in order.
Do you find with a setting lotion you also need hairspray? I'm hoping a setting lotion will rid the need of dousing my hair in...
Orange Blossom Water and Rose Water are often used in Middle Eastern dishes. If you go to any Middle Eastern grocer, or even in the ethnic sections of larger chain grocers, you should be able to find it.
I used Rose Water in a rice dish. I remember originally purchasing it to use as a...
Well I'm glad someone verified that they couldn't find them either on the website. I was sure someone would end up posting a link on sallybeauty.com ha ha. I tend to miss things sometimes. I do have a beauty supply store, not a Sally's, but I was thinking of checking down there. I think there...
I can't find them on Sally Beauty's website. Maybe I'm searching wrong or completely missing it. I searched "wave clips" and just "clips."
Must. Have! :D
For those of you who have skin that is not breakout prone, rosehip oil is a delight to use and works really well around the eye area.
I'm one that wants a bit of anti-ageing so I've decided to go with a Boots serum that I have no issue using around my eye area. I used to use a separate eye...
