    Black hat, blue suit?

Whilst waiting out on the purchase of another hat in a different colour, I was wondering if any FLers could let me know if this combination would be acceptable? Also a purple tie with a blue suit?

"Vintage" foods that are still with us today.

Bacon is, as far as I'm concerned, food of the gods. Add some good sausages, eggs, fried bread, tomatos and so forth, wash down with a cup of tea, and it's the perfect breakfast for any occasion. Sure, it's going to kill me young, but I'd rather die at 70 and enjoy my life than eat muesli...

    "Rules" for newsboy caps use?

I have to say I'm not really a fan of newsboy caps, much prefer the flat cap. Far more masculine

Does anyone know Jimmy Chen Suits?

Might I add, some shoes would go down nicely as well, not trainers. Otherwise a nice suit. Add a hat and pocket square, and you're ready to go out!

    The Labor Day Rule

Most clothing rules have military origins. Here's another one I found somewhere about watches-wristwatches only became acceptable for men after WW1, Officers found them to be far more practical than pocket watches. Before they were seen as effeminate.

    Rounded collars?

How much is this service? And to the others, thanks, but America is a bit far to travel for some shirts!

    Anyone like a Coke?

Some old hatters call bowlers "coke" in reference to the aforementioned Lord Coke, the first man to request such a hat

    Prohibition

It did create one great thing though-the speakeasy! Something alluring about entering a secret bar in a basement, and ordering a drink, add the adrenaline rush of a potential raid at any moment.

What's Your Take on Modern Men's Fashion (Not Talkin About Tieless Busi- Casual Crap)

    Today in History

In 1537, The Honourable Artillery Regiment was formed. Now part of the TA, it is the oldest Regiment in the British Army (Not golden era, I know, but this is..) 1944-Paris was liberated by the Allies, cue for much celebration and a rise in VD rates amongst Allied servicemen

    Wearing jacket cuff buttons undone

I thought it was because in the days before central heating, men would not wish to take off their jackets in the home, and if they had to do any washing up or something else, they could just roll up the sleeves?

    Rain, rain, go away....

A boy at my old school once wore one of those. Somebody actually punched him for doing so.

    Wearing jacket cuff buttons undone

What about that weird thing with designer suits-leaving the label on the wrist? Just looks stupid, and shows you paid £600+ for a designer suit when you could have gotten one equally good from M&S for a fraction of the price [huh]

    Wearing jacket cuff buttons undone

I was out for lunch the other day, and saw a guy in a very nice suit, but he left the cuffs undone to show it was bespoke, and kept on publically fiddling with them to show it off further. I just thought what a w@nker
