    Yes, I should have pointed that out... especially watch out for soft stones or crystals. That's why it's better to do it with rainwater. If I were cleansing with salt water I doubt I'd give the jewelry more than a short bath with appropriate prayer, and then rinse it off with spring water...

    I dunno if I would give up just yet. It always pays to be vigilant ;) I'd also try Etsy.com. I haven't looked for clothes on there in a while, but every so often some vintage or very good repro items will pop up on there.
