23Skiddoo, my family too! Years ago, when Nanny was alive and the whole family lived in one place, we'd do all the different fishes: scungili, mussels, flounder, shrimp, you name it...nowadays we just do the flounder and fried shrimp. Oh, and linguini with clam sauce. All homemade, all mmmmm! ;)
That's what makes their new matte line so nice! None of that greasy ickyness they tend to have. (Also, it doesn't smell like plastic - every Revlon lippy I've ever tried usually does.)
For powder, I second Inky's suggestion of the Airspun. For foundation...I'm actually really interested in these comments because I think it's time for a new one myself! :p
My mother has never been anything but supportive, even when I was going through my flannel-ridden grunge phase. lol She loves the vintage look though - even though I don't do it 100% she really likes the little touches and accoutrements. I am very, very lucky. :)
Why did you start your blog?
I wanted to channel my love for silent films (and the 1920s in general) into something creative - and since I've written poetry as long as I could remember, it was the perfect choice. Someday I'd love to turn it into a coffee table book. ;)
How did you...

One of my best playmates was the little girl who lived next door to my grandparents. She'd come over when she saw Grandpa working in the garage, and he'd give her a sip of his beer. lol
Hi gang! I know the era is a little late for most of you, but if someone you know likes clothing from the late 1960s to very early 1970s, I've put up a bunch in my Etsy shop:

Thanks! :)
Copiague is still held with as much "respect" *cough* as it used to be. Sorry, John.
Karl Ehmer closed up shop a couple of years ago, but it's still a deli - called "Joe's Italian Deli" now. It's pricey but from what I hear, pretty good. Sadly, a lot of the shops on Wellwood...
...that no one wants to publish. [huh] I'm a poet/writer and am trying VERY HARD to break into the business. Thought you folks might appreciate the subject matter. :) All feedback, positive or not so much, encouraged.
