    Fit Check Thread for Jackets

I like the rainbow one more. The Schott is a bit boring. The hidden zipper on the Rainbow give it an elevated appearance.

    Fit Check Thread for Jackets

Body looks great. Maybe a bit short in the sleeves. If you wear a watch the cuff will be in the wrong place all the time. See post #89. It would be a lot better if the sleeve had a bit of room between the knit and the base of the sleeve. The way it is now, you will be constantly tugging the...

    Who Gets to Wear Workwear?

Love giant hats! It's the best way to keep skin cancer at bay. Fewer trips to the dermatologist.

How do you treat your hard-to-replace (vintage, expensive/high-end, limited edition, etc.) jackets?

I'm in the wear it everyday camp. If it turns into a closet queen that is never used I move it along. I really can't think of a time when I destroyed a jacket by wearing it. If I'm changing oil on my truck or motorcycle I switch to an old coat. Cutting down a tree, stacking firewood, painting...

    Who Gets to Wear Workwear?

I have a pair of bird dogs, and a closet full of camouflage jackets, pants, shirts, hats and gloves. All of the patterns are designed to match the terrain of the species being hunted. The best part is the functionality. They all have plenty of pockets, are super lightweight, unlimited mobility...

    Who Gets to Wear Workwear?

As an aviator, motorcycle rider, and home builder, I say you should enjoy all the jackets. Airplanes, motorcycles, saws, and hammers are optional.

    Who Gets to Wear Workwear?

Remember in the 1960s when The North Face only made hard core mountaineering gear? In the 1970's Eddie Bauer made survival down sleeping bags and jackets. L.L. Bean made coats and boots for long days or weeks of hunting and fishing in harsh conditions. Filson did the same thing. And so did...

    Who Gets to Wear Workwear?

Today, we have enough clothing to supply the next 6 generations of people on planet earth, without running out of stuff to wear. Time to check the closet and see how many lifetimes of clothing is in there....

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

That's a hunting jacket with a zipper game bag in the back. It's likely plastic lined to prevent bloody game soaking through the lining. Maybe too many pheasants in the game bag and it blew out the bottom.

Looking at ordering an Aero leather jacket...assistance if you will

Great advice Dasher. I think zipper issues are often related to a "corset fit" jacket. Zippers are designed to work in the vertical direction. They are not cam locks for cinching from the side.

Post a front and back picture wearing it.

How to wear a Full length Leather Jacket ?

It's not too long. The left hand pocket above the button and the right hand pocket sitting lower is what bugs me about the look.

Sleeves are too long unless you are riding horses or motorcycles.

1 inch wider in the waist so it doesn't ride up in the back. And add 1.5" front drop. Show a picture from the back unzipped.

A-2 for slim waist and big shoulders

It's a very comfortable work jacket style. Unfortunately, when viewed from the side it usually looks like the person has a giant beer belly hanging over the beltline.

    Fit Check Thread for Jackets

The medium pictures didn't post. The large looks like a cross between a car coat and a jacket. Rather long for a jacket and short for a coat.

How has your taste in leather jackets changed over the years?

This and unzipped jacket will keep the whole body toasty warm. It's amazing. Deerskin
