For those interested in the actual duo, keep an eye on the History Channel schedules as they've run multiple times pretty informative programs about them and other gangsters of the era.
Yeah I'm astounded that they apparently are valued at that high of a price. The bad thing anyhow is that the ammo is ridiculously expensive and there is no more surplus stuff out there. I think there's only 2 companies who make .30 carbine rounds.
This weekend a sporting goods store chain, Big 5, advertised original M1 carbines for the 1st time ever. I was astounded that they were listing them foe $999!!! I have an original fand one of those commercial assembly rifles they remade in the 1960s. Cost $69 in 1971.
Dixon do you know if that is Jay Robbin's P-38 in the painting print on the wall behind at left? Think that's Tommy McGuire's plane in profile to the right.
I must say I wonder what makes us folks become brand loyal to cars and what did it in the old days. I mean besides the huge Ford and Chevy sales Chrysler did pretty well, but there were so many other independents with loyal followings, at least for some years.
Hudson, Nash, Packard, Essex...
Netflix has an extended version of American Gangster that comes with the theater version that runs about 3 hours. We watched it and it moved well enough so as to not be boring at all.
And if anyone thinks a punk is going to try to walk into his line of fire they must be goofy. The AARP doesn't believe senior citizens should own firearms. They still proport the good old "give in, get beaten and robbed and hope you survive" syndrome.

I've had most of my older amalgms replaced over the last 10 years because they deteriorate to the point of cracking and needing replacement. 20 and even 30+ year old fillings don't last forever.
My dentist has suggested composites only for teeth where they are appropriate requiring less...
Yeah there's tons of shows they haven't run for years. I'm up to see all the Gilligan's Island again and certainly other series would tickle other viewers but they get on these jags running shows in saturation quantity for no reason other than lack of originality.
Last nite was just superb! The portrayal of the dogged determination of both the Japanese and Americans was just without parallel.
It was so refreshing to see the Imperial Navy guys fighting skillfully and tough where their Army counterparts' best maneuver was suicide attack even when they...
It is great to know there are some experienced people from the dental field to ask questions to!
I would think that if you went to one of those "credit dentists" and they told you it would take 10 days to get your dental work made you'd go with it. I've gotten a crown and scheduled...
