You didn't offend anyone! This is the place to voice your thoughts and opinions! Which is what Amy and I did in return :) I wasn't upset, just pointing out the opposite side of the coin. :D
Interesting, I saw on National Geographic last night a show about how the earth was made ... Hard Science or something like that? Agreed, very interesting. Then again, I am the one with a big box of rocks that I trip over all the time
:D Mine too, Amy Jeanne! My husband jokes with me all the time "Gosh, I really wish you had a strong opinion on just one issue, once in a while, and would speak your mind. I never know what you think!" lol
And Miss Neecerie, well said. You should have a career as a diplomat! Well, I...
I agree about respect. That should be fundamental in all relationships, in all stages in all locations by both parties. However, deferring to the husband works for some relationships, but not all. Personalities are different, and what may work for one couple may not work for the next. Some...
Cool tutorial. I really like her short punky mullet thing. Very cute! She makes me want to give it a whirl when I saw what she was able to do with it. My hair is probably about like hers in the tutorial. I am inspired!
Ah, HA! You confirmed my suspicions, thanks. It made perfect sense!
I know what you mean about the expensive yarn. I made an exception with the hat and sweater the baby is coming home in. I spent $13 a skein for a beautiful verigated merino and silk blend. I bought Lorna's Laces in...
Paisley, you just made me spit green tea! That was some of the wittiest, spot on commentary I have heard in a while. Thank you for making my dreary Friday morning a little brighter. Nothing like a dose of droll humor to get your day off!
I agree with you, I use their Cherries in the Snow. To fix the greasy, shiny, short-lived problem, I put loose powder on over the lipstick. The powder absorbs the oil, makes the color matte, and sets the color. I have done that and been able to wear the lipstick all day without a problem...
Also, look up your local yarn shop. There is probably a shop in your area that sells quality yarns, not the acrylic stuff at Joanns and Walmart. Walking into a quality yarn shop is like walking into the most sensuous explosion of tactile color. I just love it. Anyway, most yarn shops offer...
Red- You can do it! I taught myself to knit from those beginner books you can buy in craft stores. There are also GREAT websites out there now that have video on how to do different stitches, its great! Reading patterns still baffles me a little sometimes, but I usually figure it out :)
I...
I just saw some vintage inspired coats at The Buckle yesterday, here is the post I made about them http://www.thefedoralounge.com/showpost.php?p=397850&postcount=304
I was walking through the mall yesterday and spotted the first coat in the window of Buckle, and it reminded me of a 40's or 50's coat. When I went to their website, I saw some other coats that reminded me of vintage wear. On a thread somewhere I saw DecoDoll with a fabulous camping outfit...
This seems to be a common lament :)
I don't think I am overweight, and I rather like my figure. Take into consideration that I am also 6' tall, so I need to be larger fundamentally. I measure 36 to 38 bust, 32 waist, and 42 hips. I am a pretty standard size 10 US.
Suggestions have also...
All I have to say is:
I like pie! :D
This may be a misguided attempt at humor :) I read all the posts, and you all are having a fascinating discussion. I, however, feel better staying out of it :)
Yay for all personal beliefs, what ever they are.
Unless you say that cake is greater than...
I wear a size 11 to a size 12 US, so I understand your pain. You may be able to find a nice pair of closed toe heels in a silvery color around the holidays. I saw ivory shoes with lace around Christmas last year.
Last year for Christmas Eve service I wore cream colored pants with a deep...
I am going to be out of town, too. And I was hoping to be able to get to a good sale soon to buy cool fabric for burb cloths. I really don't like most of the prints out there for kids. Fun, funky, atomic or mod patterns are more my style. Or the classic looking black and white pattern that...
Daisy! Great to see you! And your new avatar looks amazing!!
(This is the first post that I have come across of yours, so I will celebrate you here :D )
Yay for Daisy! ::hugs::
