Tried Lottabody for the first time
...and I have an observation or two...
I mainly did pincurls, and found that the Lottabody made my hair much more slippery to deal with. Which made forming the curls and pinning them down a more, uh, interesting challenge than using the mousse/hairspray...
NO KIDDING.
I found out by reading some of the store-brand labels at one of the local supermarket chains that they get their food from China. CHINA?!?!?!?! For our FOOD??!!??! Doesn't America grow enough of it here?!?!?! Where does the stuff the US farms grow go to?
I mean, I know it's a...
Mrs. Merl: how long have you been on this routine? That's great that it works so well for you!
And to add on about muscles in general...women have to try REALLY hard to achieve the effects of a professional weight lifter...the average woman can work out with weights and not look like Conan...
I think I'm the anti-you, as I'm fairly solid muscle-wise these days.lol
I was raised by non-exercising nerds, so I was rather sedentary most of my life, but in my early 30's that came home to roost weight-wise, so I started jogging 5 days a week for about an hour each time. Stopped smoking...
That is a whole LOT of cool! I LOVE the Tank Girl style o' drawing...wish I could manage it myself.
I work in animation here in Hell Lay...been a storyboard artist on many a tv show, including Pinky and the Brain, Scooby Doo, and even The Simpsons long, long ago. I mainly freelance from home...
My favorite character is Lafayette. SOOOO over the top, I love it!
I loved Stephen Root's too-brief appearance in the series as the vampire that got killed by Sookie's brother and crazy girlfriend.
The shape-shifter is a fun aspect. Me likey that, too.
I find the opening credits to be...
Like Making Laws or Sausage...
I've worn curlers in front of the husband, and he's generally amused. But then again he likes the end result, so he knows better than to make fun of me in case I stop trying.
I've never had the nerve to wear curlers out and about...though if I found a cute...
Scotch: it took some experimentation on what works for me. I have fine, oily hair that doesn't like to hold a curl when I want it to. I haven't had the chance to try setting lotion, but this was my routine for the Anniversary 'do:
wash hair, using as little shampoo as possible.

Finally tried something!
Thursday was my wedding anniversary. Here's a blog post recapping my adventures in trying to look different than my usual slovenly self:

I think like most ladies here, I had to try several times to get...
I'm definitely the type that can't wear a lot of makeup because I'd look "hard" or older as well.
For day I slap on some sunscreen, mascara, eyebrow pencil, and maybe lip gloss and that's IT. For evening stuff I use foundation, eye shadow, eyebrow pencil, mascara, blush, lipstick...compared...
Isn't that part of the humor of Barton Fink? Think about it, most folk don't even remember Wallace Beery...the fact that you do puts a fun twist on the whole thing. Well, at least in my mind it does!

I posted a "hello" in the Observation Bar, but I guess I should post here, as well.
I came across this site while I was searching for ways to replicate Nurse Ratchet's hair from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. I couldn't get it right; my bangs are awfully short compared to the rest of my...
Thanks!!
Wow, the Queen Mary event looks like fun! Unfortunately I won't be able to make it, but hopefully there'll be a future event that I can attend once I get some sort of "look" together!

I could never get into Miller's Crossing, despite me knowing that I should.
However, Barton Fink is indeed a blast. At my last job I'd rib my boss on a regular basis with Bill Mayhewisms, since the boss was also a writer.
Tony Shaloob is absolutely amazing in the film, too. Another source...
Greetings!
Hiya all,
I stumbled across the site while looking for a way to replicate Nurse Ratchet's hairdo from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest for my Halloween costume this year. My hair didn't cooperate with the copious info I got from the site, but I've been having a blast reading...
