Keep looking. Circular mirrors are the way to go. I got mine as part of a suite, and the whole shebang only cost me about $575. They're out there, under your nose. Try Craigslist; I see a lot of Deco-style furniture on there. Not to mention the fun to be had Antiquing in general...
I tell you what, I don't appreciate having to dress for inclement weather in MAY!!!
I needed a coat and gloves yesterday. Windy and cold.
Where's the Summer??
I'm going back to Jersey where the pollution keeps the climate regulated...;)
Hah! I was trying to explain the concept of a View-Master to my son just yesterday. When I showed him a picture of one online, and explained how it worked, he just looked at me, [huh], and walked away. Apparently it's just too low-tech for him to grasp.
I loved mine; new slides were the one...
Everything that fits! I just got mine, and my son pretty much made me move all of my junk out of the bathroom!
So, here goes:
-Hair dryer, Curling Iron, Flat iron, spare hair lotions/sprays, sponge rollers, roller papers...
-Barrettes, my box of stuff for parting and pinning purposes...
I concur. Something so civilized about a man in pajamas. However, nothing I can do will ever get my boyfriend to wear them; his comment is "I'm not getting dressed to go to bed". Hmph.
Sanvean by Lisa Gerrard. I start tearing up within the first five bars...
She has, quite possibly, the most amazing voice I've ever heard. Anyone who's familiar with the soundtrack to Gladiator should recognize her.
It is so- July 29th. A girl who used to work for me called me yesterday to tell me that she saw it in the upcoming releases in the computer at work. Very cool. Can't wait.
Huh- I saw him on Jimmy Kimmel just last night. He seems pretty happy and well-adjusted. It would appear that he enjoys it; he does it on his radio show regularly, and if callers can stump him, they win something. Apparently he went up against Google search in a contest to answer 20 questions...
I saw a brochure for the Clark while we were up there; it's next on the list. Since I moved up from Central Jersey, I miss the museums in the city like mad...
It was absolutely charming. Rockwell said it was "the best of America". We ate lunch at a restaurant in a nearby town called Lee, and I actually preferred it to Stockbridge, which now has quite the tourist-friendly feel. By the end of lunch, I was ready to pack up and move...:)
Instead of just doing the usual dinner and flowers, my boyfriend took me to The Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Massachusetts today. Very cool. They have all 323 Saturday Evening Post covers, and full sized paintings upstairs. It was a very strange thing to stand in front of the actual...
Just...
Wow.
I mean, wow...:eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
It's a crime that this man has no record deal. Not everyone has the voice to carry this type of music, and he was born for it. Best of luck to him.
Okay, so I'm on '80's Nostalgia overload lately, and I have reverted back to one of my first ever rock star crushes-
Mr. Martin Fry, of ABC
Who still looks pretty good, I might add...
