I just found this page which shows some behind the scenes looks of Moonlight. There are some neat shots of "vintage" settings and one of Mick's sweet car.
I watch it and love it. I'm a sucker for detective stories! Sounds like the writer's strike has been solved, so we may be getting some new episodes soon. I love the vintage cars he drives.
Thanks everyone! Sometimes it is just hard to assess the look of a shoe on your own. You really only get to see it from one "real" view when they're on your feet!
ShooShooBaby: I'm glad to hear the twin straps are comfy. One concern I had with them is the possible strap and/or buckle digging...
I'm not planning on dancing in these. I bought them as city shoes, so good thing they are comfy. I purchased a pair of black mary jane dance shoes from dancestore.com for when I want to cut a rug. I was trying to decided between the twin-strap wedges and these shoes and went for these because I...
I just got the "Savoy" style. They are comfy, but I'm still not fully decided whether I like them on my feet or not. What do you ladies think?
The shoes...

And with a dress, because who only sees feet?

I've been seeing a lot of hosiery in vintage photos with these ankle accents woven in the hose (as seen above). I really love this look and am wondering if anyone knows of a shop selling reproductions or similar hosiery?
(I know I've seen a shop once that carried this type of woven accent as...
I just discovered this flickr set a few days ago and I amazed at her memory! The shots are fantastic and I love that the son is putting this all together.
I just added the newest post today, all about making/building your own vanity!
Amy Jeanne: I love all the glam spam you put up!
Deadpandiva: I got that lipstick tip from FL - I can't believe how well it works.
KittyT: The darning stockings instructions is not my scan, that is on Joeri's...
My modest vanity is no more! I'm moving back to Chicago and with the new apartment I have more room, so I decided to upgrade my vanity. Again, I worked with what I had.
Initially, when I was thinking about making a new vanity, I was thinking of making it ala Blueprint Magazine. They had...
Deadpandiva - Do you comb out your curls or just go through them with your fingers? I try to do those low curls, with the top half f my hair straight, and I still get way too much volume and frizz. Its like I'm an 80s nightmare.
Right before the holidays last year, I started a series on my blog called "Vintage Style" that gave tips on how to attain...well, a vintage style! I started it up again this year and will continue to add more posts as we get closer to the holidays. A lot of the info I attained from all you...
Un long dimanche de fiançailles - Screen Shots
I'm not sure if there is already a post on this movie (Also known as "The Very Long Engagement"). I'm not keen on the story, but the styling and whole look of it is just wonderful. The movie is set during and after WWI. I watched this a while ago...
KittyT is right, that type of parasol is called a "pagoda."
Brollies Galore has a few of the pagoda styles and at fair prices. Just click on "Ladies Parasols" to the left and you should see the different pagoda styles they have. Hope you find something you like!
Setting lotion normally lasts 2 to 3 days, depending on how you care for your curls. It can't last through washes. I don't know of any sets that can hold through a wash, besides a perm.
I don't wear foundation, so I can't really comment on specific brands, but a great place to look for this kind of info is wedding websites or magazines. I've seen reviews in the past on these sites on make-up specifically for photography. Hope that helps!
