Scroll down to see some of your favourite loungers:
Darhling, Smuterella, MissHannah, Artful Dodgette and AllAboutEve (although this is a rather unflattering photo of her - she is divine in the flesh).
I absolutely take that in a good way!! Young Princess Margo was gorgeous!
I found Parisiennes to be really friendly and helpful - perhaps they respond better to vintage people than 'normals'! lol My french is pretty bad but they seemed to appreciate that I made an effort unlike a lot of the...
I just won these shearling-lined cuties on Ebay:
And if they fit I will probably sell on the brown ones I got a few weeks back. I'll give you ladies first dibs on 'em.
I was in Paris in June and I got a lot of appreciation for my vintage wear. As a city it has quite a vintage identity - all the postcards are black and white or Doisneau shots. It was super-hot when we were there and I had to dress fairly practically as a result. But I dressed up fully whenever...
This is VERY true! My head is completely flat at the back - it doesn't curve outwards from the neck at all, so when I have short hair I have to make sure there is enough at the back to fluff out and create body.
Thanks all!
I used velcro rollers on the top and down the back and flat pincurls on the sides (this makes it comfier for sleeping!). I used 20mm rollers on the top, graduating down through 15mm to 9mm at the bottom of my hair at the back where it is shortest. Some bits were still too short at...
Yeah, that is true. But it doesn't necessarily have to be every night I suppose.
I think we are conditioned into believing that only relationships that involve co-habiting and sharing a bed every night can be considered 'committed' or permanent and I just don't see why that should be true...
I can't believe they are your first attempt Deadpan - they look really professional.
My hair is just long enough to set again so I did a dry-set overnight and got this:
I lightened them so you can see the curls. Also, you can just about the grey streak I am cultivating at the front...
I think with plucking and drawing-on I probably spend about 10 minutes a day on mine too. It does sound like a lot when you write it down! I also spend about 10 minutes, moisturising, sun-blocking and priming my skin before I even start my make-up. It all mounts up.
Me and my partner share a bed occasionally, but we don't live together and we prefer it that way. We both find it quite difficult to sleep well in the same bed as each other - I like to sleep with the radio on and he likes complete silence! But it's more than that - it's just the peace of...
Wow Smuts - I've never been able to get up and dressed in under 45 minutes and I never managed to set my hair in under 30 minutes, even when I did the same exact set almost every night for a year or so. Since chopping my hair off into a non-setting style I still take at least 30-30 mins to do my...
I'm definitely liking the Cello idea, especially as I play the cello!
I'm 34-26-37 which by definition should make me a pear but I always think I look rather straight up and down when I see photos. Maybe it's because I'm quite tall. I always pad out my bullet bras for a more hourglassish...
This thread just makes me feel really sad for all of us, y'know?
I have a pretty expensive Braun epilator that cost about £60. To do one lower leg thoroughly would take around 45 minutes and it would never feel smooth at the end of that - there would still be fine hairs left - then it would...
