THANK YOU !! You are correct NB, I just found his site and the hats look stunning. I like the 'untouchable' (aptly named!) it's US$360 but I guess that isn't excessive for a custom made beaver hat - or is it? This would be my first fedora and maybe my only one ( isn't that what you all said...- silhouette53

GREAT AERO half belt thread.
Hi ND - it's the heavy horsehide in Aeros standard Brown. The colour isn't too accurate in my pics so here attached is the pic from Mark Moyes Aero website and the colour is pretty accurate in this pic. There is a reddish tone to it despite it being Brown - looks really rich, I like it a lot...- silhouette53

Yes, I requested an interior pocket same as that found on the USN G1 jacket. Handy for keeping cash / wallet etc secure. Not that i have any cash left now !!!lol lol- silhouette53

I know that except for brim width, one fedora looks much like any other in a photograph and that colours can be notoriously difficult to reproduce accurately but does anyone have any idea what the hat in my current avatar might be ? Single breasted peak lapel
And so it should !! I've always thought that the peaked lapel looks way better than ordinary (notched?) lapels, especially on a suit. A S/B tweed 'sports' jacket is a pretty ordinary looking garment generally, but if it has a good tailored fit and has peaked lapels then it becomes something...- silhouette53

Well I can tell you that even in the coldest of weather, I won't be needing any layering ( even if the fit allowed any ! ) You don't mention exactly where you live but Aero will, if requested, make this jacket in the lighter hides and, with a normal cotton lining such as in the A2, I don't think...- silhouette53

That's weird ! :eek: I just had that DVD delivered today from Play.com and was planning to watch it this evening. Saw it mentioned in the lounge for its 'Golden Era' clothes etc and ordered it for that reason. Must look out for the jacket !!- silhouette53

The Perfect Pair of Tassled Loafers
Memories 'Suedehead' OMG ! I'd almost forgotten that name - wasn't the outfit one of black or navy Crombie overcoat, 'two-tone' suit/trousers, heavy brogues or loafers, braces (suspenders), Ben Sherman shirt. Weren't red socks the order of the day too ?lol- silhouette53
