Thanks! I would say that I have mostly level 8, but with some of the non-sun exposed parts looking like a 7 (closer to the nape). I guess I will just have to experiment a little and stay flexible! Most people that know me know how experimental I am with my hair () so a little bit of...
Thanks everyone for your replies. Ohairas, it is great to have a resident stylist on board (no pun intended)! So, if I were to use Wella demi-permanent Color Charm in a level 6-7 that would be the same as any other brand's level 7-8? You see, I do have naturally blonde hair, and I used the...
Clinique has some glosses that I really like. Although the color is sheer, they do not get sticky. I love the pigmentation in the MAC glosses (Lychee is sooo pretty!) but I really could go without the stickiness.

Light Auburn? I really want to go for a more natural-looking red and stay away from the brighter coppers that I have done in the past.
I am fairly sure that vitamin B5 is not a silicone...

An example of a silicone that is in hair care products would be dimethicone.
I am also fairly sure that silicones do not make your hair fall out! Most...
You are really pretty, and it looks like you have really nice hair too! I love the red color! If your hair is naturally curly, why don't you try encouraging the curls one day to see how that turns out!? As a naturally stick straight person, I can tell you that I get curl envy every time I see...
She really does look like the original Barbie, though I have always thought that the original Barbie had a kind of mean-ish, cynical look on her face!
EDIT: Wow, I just saw all of those other hairstyles from the link! I liked her "blue" phase the best. I have never seen blue suit anyone so...
I have been using VO5's original conditioning hair dressing on the ends of my hair. The ends of my hair get dry and subjected to a lot of stress (chlorine, styling, etc.) and they end up feeling straw-like and lose their sheen. The conditioning hairdressing seems to work a real treat on the...
I would like to ask if bangs are period for the 1940s. I don't seem to come across many photos with them. If so, what kind of bangs? If not, is there any other time or place in the past when they were popular?
I like the Alba botanica sea enzyme scrub. It is scrubby but the particles are super tiny so they are more gentle than most scrubs that I have tried. Good luck! The only other suggestion I have is maybe to try a cream-stick or other emollient foundation.
I always had been told not to use any oily eye-make up remover (that is what I was told when I was in ten, when I had the stage makeup instruction class for dance). I always have used a separate oil-free eye make up remover pad (Almay, coincidentally) and now I am glad that I have! Wow, they...
Yes, I was majorly dismayed when my beloved Burt's Bees Almond Hand Creme went rancid after less than a year. I guess that is the downside of using more natural products (less preservatives?). I tried to keep using it but the smell was just too off. So sad!
I actually put my hosiery back in the original packaging after sink washing it. I wrap it around the lightweight cardboard, slide it into the plastic bag and keep it on the bottom of the drawer. I have had the best luck this way.
I believe that some people claim that mineral oil will clog the pores. I take this with a grain of salt because it has not done so in my personal experience. I found this article on "mythbusting" about "mineral oil:"

I think it is safe...
I tested out some hair dye that I am trying to get up the nerve to use on hair collected from my brush. Here is how it turned out:
So, do you think that it looks like a plausible haircolor? I am going for a light auburn red, but not too bold. I would appreciate your opinions on if it...
:) Haha. I have always been like this. I used to wear pilgrim outfits and prarie girl outfits to elementary school. My mom tried to convince me that I would get reamed by my fellow students, but I knew what I wanted and I was stubborn. I was in the third grade when I actually tried to make...
A really good foot soak that I like (but I don't know if anyone else will...) is to simply mix about 1/2 cup of white vinegar with about 2 gals of warm water and soak feet in it for until the water gets cold.
I had to do that soak every day for about two weeks after I had *TMI warning*...
I like to have little eye and neck pillows that I have made out of fabric scraps and filled with flax seeds coated in a few drops of lavender essential oil. I learned this trick from dance... you can put the pillow pack in the microwave or freezer for a few mins to get heat or cold and it is...
