The highwayman never did anything for me either...
It's funny you mention boots too. Currently im also caught up into boots. I would like to get a pair from each maker, red wing, wolverine, william lennon, oak street. Then eventually maybe some wescos and whites but id like to think the original 4 makers i mentioned would be enough.

@tommer45
Yup i agree that's a great jacket. I really like the character of the leather. I know this has been said before but acquiring leather jackets really is addicting. I like the researching, checking out different styles, hides and colours. I need to get off this site
Gentlemen, thanks for the info. I will wear naked cow on dry days and my vanson chopper and my JL overdye for the other days. My next jacket purchase will be a FQHH when i save up some mooola..
@tropical bob, i needed to hear from Lost Worlds jacket owners how they actually performed with...
Originally I was under the impression that water was bad for leather jackets, not sure why I thought that, maybe I read it somewhere.
I try not to ride in the rain so its not a huge priority that my jacket is water repellent, I just thought it would be nice for those odd times you end up...
Thanks for the replies so far. I've read on the lost worlds website that their jackets are great for the rain. Does anyone know how they compare with aero FQHH regarding water?
Can anyone give me a quick tutorial about leather and water. I know that naked cowhide like schott has open pores so it gets absorbs. Is it really that bad for leather? Havent some bikers out there worn these jackets for years, their jackets must have been in rain and their jackets are still...
Thats a really nice jacket!!! Well done!! I really like Barbour coats, I was in one of their stores a few weeks ago and I was really impressed with a couple of their jackets. I was so close to buying their motorcycle jacket but I couldn't get passed their big yellow logo.

Shfle,
I spent some more time on the William lennon site last night. The tan waxy leather sole boot and their WW1 are very nice. I question if the WW1 boot with their flat gripper studs would only be good for outdoors? I imagine they would be quite slippery on other surfaces.
Well i will be going from 0 leather jackets to 3 hopefully within the next month if my orders come in. I guess its obvious which side im on... Think its difficult to find that one jacket for riding, casual, formal and different seasons. If only having multiple wives could be the same price...
My thoughts that the boot makers you mentioned are great quality. Don't think you really could go wrong with any of them. The only thing i didnt like about the 1000 mile is the sole has no grip, it was very similar to my iron rangers. I find the lack of grip limits when and what i can wear...
