Had a play yesterday with re-bashing the new Olney crushable, and gave it a spin today.
The aim was a pork pie with a sloping crown - not entirely successful... Not sure whether to try and tweak it or steam it back to open crown and try something different.
Robert - that Dobbs is a beauty.
Manfred - the stockman suits you well.
Andy - That's a nice looking open road - looks like a pale sand to me, but whatever it's called it's a good colour
John - a fine pair of hats
TJ - that city sport looks great
Frank - nice Borsalino. Black hats...
If the hat is a US 7 and you're a 7 3/8 it's going to be way too small to be stretched. You can generally only stretch up a size (two if you're very lucky).
I'm no expert on women's hats but I suppose you could try wearing it once, perched high and tilted back. Whether this would avoid hurt...
Thanks for the vote of confidence folks - I've got another on the way that's much bolder, but yes Mike I think the quieter ones are more me.
Looking good TJ.
Schools still get the long vacation here, but there's talk of changes. Most schools finish in mid-July with the new year starting at the beginning of September.
Andy-That's a nicely natural looking bash on that Fed. I'm trying to decide whether to go Heritage, Tawny or Moonstone.
Eric-A Lovely pair of hats - I couldn't pick a favourite.
hatsRme-Looks great. I've always relied on lighter fuel, but it can require lightly soaking the whole hat to avoid...
Some great combinations in this thread - I particularly like BR Gordon's last post.
At the age of 42 I have bought my first Hawaiian shirt...
Hat is a vintage Biltmore straw, shirt is a reverse printed RJC shirt (I know nothing about Hawaiian shirts btw).
