I'm still looking for a nice vintage one - this is a modern Christy's wool one I picked up just after they stopped making them, as I realised finding a vintage one in a 60/61 was going to take a long time!

I've never got as far north as Skye, but yes it's difficult to find a better Whisky, although the difficult to find Brora holds an equally high spot in my affection :)
Thanks folks - it's a tad snug, and the size on the label missing so I'm not sure whether it's a small 60 or not, but a hat stretcher makes it wearable. I don't have any Maysers to compare it with, but it's a nicely made hat with very decent felt.

The GADunn is probably 50s - Ive got a very similar one.
The Gieves & Hawkes looks newer - maybe 70s and probably made for them by Christys
The Trilby is probably of European manufacture - late 50s through to late 60s.
The Bowler is difficult to date but probably post 1953...
My first Whippet. A German Stetson (I now have an English Stetson and a German Stetson, but still don't have an American one... yet :) ). I'm sure it's been discussed before, but to save me searching any ideas who made them in Germany? I'm guessing late 50's early 60's but could be wrong:
