The Fedora that fits your face.

Fish - it might also be worth looking at the Akubra Fedora - a 2.5" brim and slightly shorter crown than the Fed but probably better proportioned than the Stylemaster. Good luck whichever way you go.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Thanks all for the comments on the bowler yesterday. --- Banky – great character to that continental. Josh – the conversion might not have been technically great, but that Cavanagh looks good. MrCairo – two good looks. Bert – you wear that Dobbs well. Garrett – that’s some ribbon! David –...

    I love the Fed IV!!

Mine are similar- possibly not quite as pronouced, but that could be camera distortion. Of course when they're on the head they tend to be tilted back slightly so that the slight reverse taper is close to a vertical plane.

    The BORSALINO BROTHERHOOD

Thanks Alan - I think from RMRs vague descriptions that's the sort!

The Fedora that fits your face.

I'm 6ft 1" and no lightweight (43" chest 36" waist) with a big head 60.4 cm ish and widish face, and I'm happy to wear smaller brims as well as wider... approx 1 7/8" brim (Panizza): approx 2" (Borsalino): and going wider with a Fed: Personally although all three look very different I...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Charlie - a pair of real beauties. Miami & hatguy1 - very weather appropriate! No snow here, just gales and yet more rain. A bowler (late 60's/early 70's Failsworth) is about the only hat that will cope with 30mph winds and stronger gusts...

How does the fit of vintage Borso's with silk sweats compare to those with leather?

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

David - great looking Stetson, again. Harv - that 60's number works really well with the jacket. Teach - always great to see a green one. Perry - beautiful Adam. m0nk - nice job on that Fed. Sam - I love that whiskey colour. g.d. - Looking great. Jeff - lovely looking champ. Mystic -...

John - that looks beautifully engineered. Block Maker - that lloks very handy (and nicely made).

The Fedora that fits your face.

Good advice. I think brim width is less important than lack of taper - I'd get something very straight sided. A Fed IV would probably be a good pick.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Lovely Homburg, and a sharp outfit CCJ. Gorgeous Portis Mystic, you've got a great collection. Steve - the Borchert looks just as good on as it did in the German/Austrian thread. Great find. History - great looking Strat. Bert - you don't often see OR's worn brim up, but it looks good...
