    Installing Wind Cords

Loz - they look good, but are they more for aesthetics than use? I can't imagine those brims are that much of a wind catcher.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Alan - beautiful Strat. --- First outing for a newly acquired stingie - 'Delmonte' a German brand I've not come across, might be an undersell label. Picked it up from Paddy/Patrick/Yttclothing who gave an excellent service:

    German & Austrian Hutmachers

Steve great adverts. Manfred, thanks, and thank you for that Rehfus article. Trachten had a brief period of poularity in the UK in the 50's/60's. Steve - I've noticed they're becoming popular amongst 'hipsters', male and female.

Nice - Indy David Joao - looks like you've got the same weather we've got. A number of the local villages are under 2 foot of water... Good looking Akubra. Terry - Hope the hat is keeping you warm. Rick - great looking campdraft. Thanks for eveyone's comments on yesterday's cap.

    German & Austrian Hutmachers

Thanks folks. Any ideas who made Delmonte, or whether they were a stand alone brand? I'm guessing it's late 60's.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Nice looking Fed - g.d. Akubras, may not have as nice a hand as some vintage felts but they cope well UK weather at least! Too windy for a fedora today - Harris Tweed cap of unknown maker:

Ask a question, get an answer

Lighter fluid and a bit of brushing might work. Personally I always soak the entire felt in lighter fluid to avoid any rings.

    German & Austrian Hutmachers

Ole, I was going to suggest Danish Pastries, but just read that they are an import from Vienna... I have read one of Jussi Adler-Olsen's books (in translation) if that cheers you up ;) --- A new arrival from Paddy with a most un-germanic name 'Delmonte', but the Fein Haar on the liner suggests a...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

gear-guy, Terry, Harv, Jhe88, Justin, ebonysw45 - thanks folks. Boots are Barker 'Harrison' - traditional English Brogues but with a Dainite sole. Terry - I'm an in between size - sometimes a 60, sometimes a 61, and annoyingly it can vary within brand as well as from brand. A Hat-stretcher or...

    Roxford hats

It looks good on. I wouldn't want a collection solely made up of stingies, but a good stingy makes a nice change.

Great looking Falcon Park, Jeff. Ebonysw45 - not an akubra I've come across, but it looks great. History, Harv, great caps. g.d. - looking good in the campdraft, hope it kept you dry. Alan - great rescue! --- Wet and windy here. Christy's Melton 8-piece:
