    FL help me design my 'prentice piece

    I like the idea of a mid-width ribbon like that flagship. If you're going for a versatile everyday working man's hat I think 2 1/2" to 2 5/8" brim, with a ribbon that's only slightly darker than the felt, and probably a bound brim in the same colour. Crown height probably not too high 5-5 1/4"...

    Steve I've never heard of Borchert, but that's a stunning hat. I take it the seller didn't happen o have an identical one in a 60/61? ;) Lovely colour, great proportions and a nice ribbon.

    Mike - as a guess I'd have said mid-late 50's but I'll be interested to hear what the Stetson experts say. Lovely felt, with a new sweat that'll be a great hat.
