    Sweet Sweats

Lincoln Bennett tall crown bowler, probably from the 30-40's: There was recently a slightly younger Lincoln Bennett on ebay (sadly too small) where it was 'by appointment to the late King George VI' presumably dating from the early 50's as they had a Royal Warrant under the Queen in the...

Interesting fabric Manfred - it's in the fustian family, but it's an unusual wale.

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

One problem is figuring out whether a seller is deliberately obfuscating or genuinely ignorant. As someone with a head on the larger side, I frequently come across hats that are 'upsized' in the listing...

Ask a question, get an answer

I've got a couple of American Legend 5x hats and they're fairly stiff felted, but will shape with water. I've not had any colour bleed or shrinkage problems from wearing them in the rain, and they look good. The sweats aren't great but do the job. I paid around $50 each for them, and for that...

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest
