A day off work, so I took a trip along the coast to Margate to see the Helen Frankenthaler expedition at the Turner Gallery. Very blustery - just kept the Panizza on:
five minutes later:
I'd avoid the Christies - they're not terrible, but shrinkage can be a problem. I own three Feds and like them a lot - not too stiff, but not floppy either and hold up to UK downpours as well as being excellent value. They take around 14 days from order to arrive. If you've got the money though...
David - lovely Sportaire
Andy - looks good again. They respond well to water if you decide to reshape.
Perry - great looking Strat
Charlie - if it's still photobucket problems, try double clicking on the thumbnail in the library to open up the image full-screen. The links on the right hand...
Thanks Perry. Can you compare them to Akubra's at all. Buying from the UK I'm looking at about twice the price for the Stetsons.

50's or 60's? Cavanagh 'Louis' for me today on a trip up the coast to Rochester:
ebonysw45 - thanks for the info on the Legend. I'm guessing Strand Hatters don't do mail order?
Nice Stetson David.
Perry - I really like the look of that Stetsonian. Much more tempting to me than the Strats.
Andy - Yes the American Legends I bought weren't quite there in terms of quality...
Steve - beautiful German Stetson.
Dale - definitely falls into the stingie brim camp ;)
ebonysw45 - very nice Legend. Are the Legends still in production?
Mike - nice photo with the ipad. Someone rejected that! :eeek:
Nigel - we don't see many Bronco's on here. The band works well.
A few days away from work - hence the more casual approach :)
The felt on the Borso is incredibly pliable - I can put any pinch in it and return it to open crown without a hint of a crease.
LonnieW - nice find. The rest of us scare folks with our faces - so I wouldn't worry;)
