There is the odd older Eastman ANJ-4 floating around with russet horse trim despite the old printed catalogue saying it's seal only. From memory John Lever used to have one ?
I had a trawl through my old HD but couldn't find any pictures but came across this.....near mint B-3 redskin
My Grandfather was in the Fleet Air Arm during the war. Stuff like shearling trousers was washed on a regular basis because aircrew used to piss in them ! Also the gear was rotated between those on flying duty.
I don't agree with the belief that fleece cuffs get dirty, or at least no more than the rest of the jacket. The backs tend to wear smooth with wear. Shearing jackets can be washed on cold cycle, no spin, with just slight shrinkage.
This original Roughwear is over 70 years old.
I would go for a light or medium weight hide when facing shearling. Here is some Italian horsehide, similar to what Aero are using, on my ELC redskin and .50 cal jackets.
ELC B-3 .05 brand new, unworn with tags in original box. As you can see from the 5 photos bellow it's a wonderful B-3. Size 46
Across the chest 26"
Shoulders 22"
Back 27"
Arms 26"
These jackets currently retail at £925

I was surprised the Simmons Bilt name was still available to register. Quite a well known name in vintage jackets. I posted this scan from one of the Japanese magazines a couple of years ago.
Back on topic ! Reading through the court notes I noticed retail valuations were being used. I was wondering if wholesale or retail figures are normally used in valuing company stock in hand for annual accounts ?
WL didn't seem to challenge the high valuations being used by the prosecution for...
