That's right, you can give freedom of speech to Nazis, as long as they're not dangerous. There's no chance of seeing a Nazi President or a Nazi Congress in the US, so they're not a political force, and they can talk as long as they want, because they'll change nothing. In some countries in...
Can't wait for a full report. I like the picture of Tokyo by night. Wearing 30's inspired suits in a futuristic place like that makes one feel like in Fritz Lang's Metropolis.
I don't know if guilt is the reason behind that law. I rather think that it's the danger of a Nazi come-back that forces European countries to adopt these laws, and I think they are right.
For how many generations does there have to be guilt for what ancestors did? Are Germans and Austrians and the others that were with them guilty forever? Also, for how long does French gratitude for being liberated have to last?
In addition to the above, I should also say that I agree with...
I kinda like what I see at Ralph Lauren. I think it's a step in the right direction. It's not perfect, after all it's fashion, and he has to please the market. But there is a feeling of deja vu, reminiscent of the 30's. Compare picture 35 on p. 4 with this, on the right:
I was struck by the resemblence of Gary Cooper's costume in this 1943 movie with that of Indiana Jones. Indy-looking brown hat, shirt, pants, and fur-lined short leather jacket.

The jacket can be seen...
Captain Hastings, Hercule Poirot's associate, is the character that inspires me the most, as far as dressing goes. There's also his love for fast sporty 30's cars, and the fact that he is the perfect British gentleman. Does anyone know who made his suits and hats for the series?
I drink 4-6 cups everyday. I like anything from Twinning, with a preference for Lapsang Suchong. Sadly, I haven't been able to find any Lapsang Suchong lately. I also sometimes drink green Chinese tea, for a change. I think it is of capital importance to drink black tea from English china...
Yes, but men too wore men's clothes then. My point is that women wear men's clothes, and men have given them up. A woman can wear a suit and a fedora, and it seems perfectly normal to everybody. When a man wears the same thing, it's considered unusual.
How about this shirt and tie?

Or maybe a cream oxford shirt and the tie above, or a plain black tie. Anyway, not much of the shirt and tie is seen, because of...
Equality does not mean turning a woman into a man or the reverse. Whatever they do, there will still be physical differences (I hope).
In my country, men and women have equal rights. Since men can walk in the street without a shirt, the women have acquired the same right, and now a woman...
Matt, Rodin wears an Alpine beret. They are still worn in the French army by mountain troops (where they go by the name of "pancake"), although they wear it tilted on one side. Here's a picture:

A French tradition is to tilt the...
The crown is 4 3/4 in and the brim is 2 3/8 in. I would like to post pictures, but I don't have a camera. I'm reluctant to move ahead with the new technology; I only got a DVD player a few months ago.
Does anybody know the crown and brim measurements for the Adventurebuilt, so I can...
