I'm sorry, someone saw it on Facebook before this post: I also got an email regarding it from the same guy.
Sorry to say, the phone is pending a sale, if the current customer passes on it, I'll be sure to post here any further info.
Thanks!
I wouldn't suggest dropping a real land line... having used a Cell phone or calling those who do there isn't anything more agrivating than having a serious conversation and then a call dropping...:rage: I tend to have more enjoyable conversations on a real land line.
Use the Cell when away...
From outside of the property:
Ours is the one where the lantern is hangin' from!
Has a new (pre-war) freshness about it... I like it. Also, the car dose have a garage now. :D
Steam Punk PC's... lovely however, not my style sad to say. I appreciate the effort; however, I'd rather just see my real Underwood on the desk. ;)
When the cash is there, I'm going to retire this large Dell desktop PC and get a laptop that can slide into one of the spacious drawers on this...
What no takers? I guess I'll just have to post it on Craigs list or eBay later today. Thought this item would go to a nice "Loung" home... oh well. [huh]
I had a cell for a brief period while working for a construction company in the estimating department… I enjoyed communicating to people while on the road via headset, but I will did not allow my self to be reliant on it for everything like some have become.
It’s always good to keep a phone...
This has been a popular topic that has been discussed since this sites birth.
The problem is that today, women (and men) for the most part do not wear hats… and this does depend on one’s geographic location of course… but, in general, here in CA anyone wearing a hat other than a modern Trilby...
Quite simple... the music.
Early on I decided to find a type of music that I liked other than what my folks listened to most of my years growing up. It was the early 90s and I came a crossed an oldies station. I began a sincere interest and appreciation for the hits of the 50s. My...
Recently I picked this original Ericofon up and felt I’d offer it here for the mid-century minded folks.
Originally started production in 1956 and went on from there. This is the real deal! 100% original, original cord in mint condition, with the original BELL SYSTEM plug! Now, it has been...
Yep, that's me and my lady. Our home is 20s-30s period with some 40s stuff hangin' around. I collect just about everything from that era... We use old Western Electric telephones, our sofa is from 1927, the radios I own are all 20s-40s and even my car is a '46 Plymouth four door. And even the...
Ummm, I did post a photo of a 700 standing by my 1935 Philco a while back... I looked at page 4 and didn't see any model 700 photos.
The photos I reposted were taken in my livingroom... My gal and I collect 20s to 40s vintage clothes and home furnishings... I've been collecting this stuff...
You haven't seen my 700 yet? Here's a few shots.
This is my gal and I posing with the 700. The dusting tools box has the tools in it. I also photoshopped the proper bag on it... that was before I found the original on ebay.
Here's the three main cleaners I own, the Packard, the 700 and...
I don't know, I feel it would clean up nice... with a little work it would come out ok... I have a NOS badge for the thing... but, you can always re-paint them I think.
$60 bucks is crazy for shipping... should come in a gold box if you ask me!
So, ummm, there's two model 700's on eBay right now... just enter "vintage hoover vacuum" and check'em out!
They're kind of cleaner up'er cleaners but, that's part of the fun is to see a dirty old machine become renewed.
Well, here’s something that may shed some light onto the radio lamp or TV lamp thing.
In the 20s when radio was huge, so was electricity… it was still some what new and those who had money to own a nice floor model radio would feel it necessary to adorn the top of their set with a unique...
