Agreed - we couldn't get over how well it was done - that they had incorporated special effects - so glad I got to see it. This might help: http://vintagemakeupguide.com/2010/04/1940s-makeup-guide/ The above is a good guide and makes reference to lip gloss although I think at the time the matte look was more in style.
