Intriguing that DrInfested thought the ribbon on Jack's hat wasn't "really tall" -- I like a wide ribbon just fine myself, so I like the hat, too, but I've not seen many ribbons that were wider (or "taller") than that one.
I interviewed Ms. Williams some years ago on the occasion of the publication of her memoirs; those who might be interested in reading that Q&A will find it here.
And here's a tribute I created for her today for my employer's Facebook page:
No, I'm talking about the sides of the crown; they don't look entirely vertical in that photo. There's a bit of an inward curve to them (perhaps it's an optical illusion).
Doesn't much matter, I guess; as you say, the hat's no longer available on their website.
I wish I could say I was sold on their boater, but it doesn't quite work for me (though I've not seen it in person) -- there's a slight inward curve to the crown (in the photo, at least) that doesn't appeal to me.
Does anyone know of a US retailer who offers Olney boaters?
And how about sizing...
I'm sure you won't mind my sharing that the above is an article from the New York Times.
I checked out the Warner Archive Instant service when they first launched, and found the selection sorely lacking, especially consider how rich their press-on-demand catalogue is. The streaming offerings...

It's a company called Military Art -- www.milart.com. Here's an example of the mug: https://www.milart.com/ProductDetails.php?ID=37
I don't know what their...
Live365 has a free streaming app for smartphones, so if any of you are inclined, you can listen to Cladrite Radio (we play plenty of 1920s and '30s music) in your car, with the use of the auxiliary jack.
Just a suggestion...

The difference in buying vintage is you're not putting money in the pockets of those who overworked and underpaid their workers -- you're not rewarding the questionable practices cited above.
I thought I had two Palm Beach ties, but it turns out the other is made of 100% virgin wool.
So here's the only one I own. I get loads of compliments on it every time I wear it.
Feraud, I sincerely wish you a long, happy life, but just in case you do get hit by a bus or something, would you see to it at your earliest convenience that I am cited in your last will and testament as the recipient of your Palm Beach ties?
Thanks in advance.
